One of my favorite women in the Bible is the Shunnamite Woman: a childless yet hospitable lady who made a room on her house for the prophet Elisha. She doesn't have a name, though. Only the place she was from. I decided to play with the letters to create names out of Shunnamite. So far, I have:

Tisha (the name of the main character of a book I am writing; means "bringer of joy")
Tammi

1. Can you guys think of anymore?
2. Is Tammi a good stand alone or does it have to be a nn?
3. If I were to use Tammi (which I am starting to fall in love with), is it too close to use as a sib with Tobias nn Toby?

Thank you!!!<3

I don't really like Tisha, and I'm not really a fan of Tammi either, to be honest. Although I love the meaning they have for you.

I love Tobias with the nn Toby, but I do think Tammi and Toby are too close. It wouldn't be a huge deal if you called him Tobias, though. Tobias and Tammi are fine, though they do differ in styles.

I would probably prefer Tammi as a nickname for Tamara or something else, but I've seen it as a standalone name (I have a cousin named Tammy).

As always, my advice is this: if you really love it, use it.

I thought of Shannon/ Shanun as a mix of letters. It's got "mine" in the name so maybe you could use a name including it, Minerva, Jessamine, etc. or a name that has that as a nick name potential like Clementine or Madeleine. Or Mae is in there, I adore Mae.

Tammi isn't my style. I quite like what Marissa suggested about using it as a nickname for something a little more unexpected (i.e Clementine). But obviously it's less of a stretch for something like Tamsin, Tamara, Tamra etc.

I do love Tobias nn Toby though! Super cute.

Mm. If you play around with the letter, you could possibly use these:

Ash

Annie

Amie

Amity

Athena

Una

Sam

Shae

Shea

Sunny

Mae

Maia

Minnie

Mina

Mia

Nia

Tania

Tia

Hanna

Hena
