I've always had a difficult time coming up with girls names that I like, but I came across the name Laken the other day and absolutely love it! It's spunky and unique without being overly out there. I've seen it spelled Laken, Laiken, and Laikyn. I'm just wondering what other people think of it...do you think it's usable? also, how would you spell it?

I'm definitely open to all opinions and any middle name suggestions would be great! Thanks in advance. :)

First time I ever heard Laken was when my friend announce her twin boys names, Laken and Landon. So I associate it with a boy.

I like Laken! Its one I'd like on someone elses baby though. Not one I'd use :P I'd definitely spell it Laken as well. Laykin looks strangely nice to me, but I'd not even use ot cause it looks trendy :(

Laken Vivian
Laken Ariana
Laken Diane
Laken Harlow
Laken Marley
Laken Isabel
Laken Rory / Aurora
Laken Olivia
Laken Willa

Thanks Remy!

I really like Laken Ariana, Laken Isabel, and Laken Aurora. I definitely thinks it needs a girly middle to balance it out a little. I think my favorite is Laken Aurora.

Thanks for everyone's help. I mentioned it to my boyfriend today and he actually likes it, which means we might finally have something to add to our girls list..yay! :)

Aw I'm glad to be of service! ;) Laken Aurora is really sweet, I love it! :D

And isn't it the best feeling when the SO likes a name choice?! Good for him for realizing how great a name it is ;)

Thank you so much!

I really like:
Laken Alexandra
Laken Charlise: I want to honor a family member named Charlene but have never really liked it with anything. So you may have helped me discover a compromise. :)

I like it! I think it's kind of boyish, though... Not all bad. Reminds me of Leighton, which I love on girls.
