I'm trying to find a nickname for Henry that isn't Harry, Hal or Hank. Anyone have an idea?

Hen? Ry? I'm not too sure. Henry is already pretty short, my best guess is to be creative come up with your own nickname. Like H or initials or something.

Just H, or something to do with his initials, maybe. I actually like "Hen(s)" around the house.

I do know a Henry that goes by Ham/Hammy, but I don't find it very pleasant personally, lol ;)

The only one I know of is a Hank, and I'm personally not fond of Hank. Is there a reason you don't want just Henry? It's very handsome. I like Ry, maybe Ren?

Henry is a family name from my husband's side and there's at least two Henrys a generation so I was looking for ways to distinguish from them. OH's grandfather goes by Harry, his uncle Henry goes by Ned, Ned's son is Henry and answers to Hal. There's three other Henrys who are strictly Henry and two other Harrys so family reunions get a but confusing.
I love Hank but OH doesn't and gives me this look when I mention like just saying it leaves a funny taste in his mouth.
We have the same probably with "Clay" names but I'm not a fan of any of them so they've been taken off the table despite OH's suggested of Claymore which I could live with if it was in the middle.

Maybe you could call him by his middle name?

I'm going to suggest that to Martin. At least when we're around his family. Or I might just push for Hank and not let up. I really don't want to give up Henry.

Maybe Henry as a middle in another combo?

I've considered it. I just can't find anything that pops out at me. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I did some more digging on behindthename and found Hendry as a variation of Henry and Henk and Heiko as pet forms of Henrik and Heinrich respectively. Would any of those seem unusable or odd?

Torin Henry
Elliot Henry
Roman Henry
Sasha Henry
Leland Henry
Cedar Henry
Lucius Henry
Stellan Henry
Owen Henry
Tobias Henry
Otto Henry
Castor Henry
Drake Henry
Asher Henry
Colt Henry
Oliver Henry
Caspian Henry
Atlas Henry
Lysander Henry
August Henry
Birch Henry
Samuel Henry
Finch Henry

I absolutely love Henrik. Always have! Super cute on [Denmark's?] little prince.

Hendry is handsome, but I feel like people would always mistake his name for Henry. And same for Henk with Hank. I like Heiko, but it seems to Japanese for someone without it in their heritage. I don't even know if it is Japanese, though. Lol.

I really like Leland Henry. Heiko is a German pet name for Heinrich as well as in the form Heike.

Yeah. I have a love of German names. Martin doesn't share in my love though. Learning is fun. :)

Does it have to be Henry? Could you use a variatian of Henry and then get a nickname from that? Cause the Irish and French forms of it are amazing. Einrí and Emeric/Enzo.(theres so many!)

This list is lengthy haha

If I could find a variation that we could agree on I would. Martin has suddenly become very set on names that he does/doesn't like. My name nerd influence falls on deaf ears.

At least he's set on his dislikes and likes. Nick suddenly likes EVERYTHING. UGH.  I found all those variants on Wikipedia if you wanted to give them a look over.
