I was at the pool yesterday, and a woman was there with her youngest child, a little girl named Reagan. I overheard her telling a friend that she had four children, though the other three were not there.

Her children's names are:

Hayden

Bryson

Peyton

Reagan

I don't know the genders of the three older children, since the names are pretty unisex. But anyway, I didn't like the sibset overall, because the names seemed too matchy to me. Every name ending in N combined with the long A sound in every name but Bryson seemed a bit much. What do you girls think? Are the names too similar, or am I just nitpicking?

hrmmmm perhaps a little matchy.. :/

But then again sombody could veryw ell say the same about my childrens names.. as they end in the ee sound but i changed my 2's names up so they were ending in ley.. I know of a riley and bailey (couldnt do this myself..) Riley and ryder (like they like dhe ry beginning a tad much)

I wouldnt say you were being a nitpicker! x

Personally, they'd be too matchy for me. I prefer my names to not include any of the same sounds though.

Matchy? Definitely too matchy for me. But, hey on the bright side at least they all end somewhat differently... -gan, -ton, -den, -son. ;)

I have a son named Dylan and we're trying for another baby. Our favourite name for a girl is Lily but we didn't think about how similar they sound when we named Dylan. Would you consider them too matchy for a brother and sister??

They might be a bit matchy with the L and Y sounds. However, they don't start or end with the same letter, so that helps somewhat. I probably wouldn't use them together, as they are just a tad too matchy for me.

Yeah I wish we'd realised before we named Dylan! The worst thing is while I was pregnant I obsessively tried to think of the perfect name and how it would match with some of my other favourite names for any other kids we would have but then we ended up picking Dylan quite unexpectedly after he was born!

Peyton and Hayden are too close for me.
