Well, I told my BF that I love talking about names even before we got together, and that he could suggest names whenever he wants to. Last night was the first time that he did, and he said that he likes the name Rebecca! I told him that i don't really want to name my future daughter that because I knew someone years ago (I don't like giving my children names that were given to people I know), and I am not fond of the NN Becci/ Becky... or any other spelling. I would be okay with Becca. But still, it isn't a great name to me...

So, I am trying to think outside my name box but i can't come up with new ones -.- So, if you have any suggestions similar to Rebecca, please let me know.

(BTW: My favorite girl name Elara is growing on him, and I think it is awesome -_-)

I have to agree with you... Rebecca is a perfectly fine name, but I've met girls who have ruined the name for me. And I dislike the nickname Becky as well. =/

Here are some ideas you and your boyfriend will hopefully like. I tried to choose names that are similar to Rebecca in sound or style.

Rachel
Annika
Abigail
Hannah
Samantha
Sarah
Emily
Nichola / Nicole / Nicolette
Regina
Bailey
Brooke
Victoria
Bethany
Bridget
Ashley
Alison

Thank you ladies... my bf is going through the names later...
Here is what he told me what style he likes: more classic names, and they shouldn't sound too English. Well, you suggested names that are international names, so they can be pronounced in different languages, which is what i want of names.

Here are the ones I like:
Charlotte
Cecilia
Alana ... I would go with Alaina (but it sounds weird in German -.- )...
Adriana ... I think I like Arianne or Arianna more...
Caitlin ... I would like to use it, but it is too English for my bf :/...
Mara
Adela ... I would go with Adele...
Ella ... Ellie or Ella will work as NN for Elara...
Eloise
Rose ... I prefer Rosalie, Rosita or Rosalita (I like the last 2 because of the mix of Rosalie and Rita, which was my grandma's FN)

You suggested names that I like but they are names of people I know (especially of friends)
