I think "teen mom names" get their rep for being super trendy and having really funky spellings, like:

Kaeleigh
Brittenay
Haelee

DITTO.
I think, common names with awkward spelling. Trendy, and 'made-upish'.

Cre8tiv spellings, an apostrophe in the middle of a first name, using a nickname instead of the full name. Use the proper name and call the kid the nickname their whole life. The complete name looks better on a degree or diploma.

I'm a teen mom but I don't have typical teen mom taste..
When I gave birth to Elena, I was put in a room with other teen moms who had also just given birth.
In that room, the new babies were called:

Brandi
ShaMia
Brittany
Jax
Galaxy (Lexi for short)

Not all teen moms choose horrible names, I think I'm proof of that..Sort of!
