So our last name is "Jacoby" pronounced Juh-Co-Bee, we really like the name Colby Seth Jacoby, but we're worried about how "Colby Jacoby" sounds together. What do you think, too similar, or is it okay? It's okay if you don't like the name Colby, we just want to know if it sounds bad together. :)

Other names we're considering:

Caden/Kaden Baylis

Kael Seth or Kael Baylis

We have a son named Lucas and a daughter named Brinley. We really want names that are less common yet not really weird either! (Caden is more common than we would like, but we both really like it, and that's hard to come by so that's why we've kept it on our list) Any suggestions!? I'm really not set on any of the names that we are considering and we really want a name we both really love. Thank you.

It definitely has a rhyming sing-song quality about it.  Personally I would go with something else, but if the rhyming-ness doesn't bother you then go for it.  If it was overly difficult to say, I would suggest you find something else, but it is easy to say and it would make a very memorable name which isn't a bad thing.

However, If you aren't sure about Colby, I think Caden would work just as nicely with your other children's names.

I don't like Colby Jacoby together at all, sorry! I think it is too repetitive. I do love Colby. <3

What about using the ever-handsome Seth as a first name, and two middle names: Colby as the first, another name as the second?

Seth Colby Kael Jacoby

Seth Colby Miles Jacoby

Colby Jacoby is very rhymey! I don't like it!
Colby and Seth are both very cute though.

Caden Seth Jacoby works well, but if it too common, have you thought of Cade/Kade, Casen/Kasen, or Camden? Cade Baylis Jacoby, Kasen Seth Jacoby, and Camden Seth Jacoby are all really cute!
I'm not fond of Kael (I can only think of the vegetable).

I do like several of those! I will be showing them to my husband, and now I am definitely feeling like Colby won't work with our last name, which makes me super sad but I am GLAD I asked!! Thank you!

Thank you so much for your help! I think I was pretty much convinced it didn't sound good together but I just love the name Colby so much I was hoping to do it anyway, but I think everyone is right we could find a name that we like just as much that goes better with our last name. The last thing I want is for his name to sound weird with his last name! Thank you for your advice!
