A girl i know just had her baby and called her the same name we want to call ours who is coming in October. we are not friends but our kids will be in the same class. should I change my name or is it okay to use the same name?

I think its fine to use the same name. Just depends on how much you wanted your kid to be the only one in their class with their name.

I think it's fine to use the same name : ) you never know what the future holds so maybe the woman who named her child the same name you wanted to use will move or vice versa so use a name you love ^ ^

I dont see any problem with it at all! Especially if she isnt someone your very close to 
there probably will end up being other kids in his class with the same name either way, whether you know of the parent naming their child such or not. Unless you have a highly unusual name.
I think the most important thing to do is name your child the name you absolutely adore thats what matters most, as you will be calling him by it for the rest of his life
