So I recently posted about not loving any names, and I found some that I love! So I'd love some suggestions for names to go with what I have now, and any suggestions for middles would be awesome as well :)

For girls I have Celeste and Nahla, and I'm really liking the name Isabella as a middle name for both. I can't decide whether I like Celeste Isabella or Nahla Isabella better, so indecisive lol. I also love the nn Essie for Celeste.

For boys I'm really liking Easton and Nash, but I don't have any set ideas yet. I'm kind of liking Nash Sebastian, but I'm not set on anything.

Any help is appreciated!
Hannah x

Celeste Isabella or Nahla Isabella: I like Celeste better than Nahla and Celeste Isabella better than Nahla Isabella  :)

Nash Sebastian is really cool!

I like Easton as well but maybe not as much as Nash.

Glad you found some names you like!

I love Nahla <3 Celeste feels dated to me, but I'm sure meeting a little girl with the name would change my mind.

Nash is so cool, I've been liking it a lot lately! Nash Sebastian seems slightly repetitive when I say it, maybe because of the "Nash Sebash" sound but it isn't bad :)

I agree with Elizabeth that Nash is better than Easton, but Easton is still very handsome.

Nahla Peleope

Nahla Josephine

Nahla Juliet

Nahla Georgie

Nahla Prim

I don't love Nash Sebastian personally, its kinda rhymey "Nash" 'Bash" sound.

Easton Riley

Easton Vincent

Easton Xavier

Nash Benjamin

Nash Gregory

Nash Elias

Nash Isaiah

Thanks ladies. Now that you mention it I can hear the repeats in Nash Sebastian, oops! Celeste Isabella is definitely my favourite at the moment, it sounds so fresh to me. I'm liking Easton over Nash, but only a little bit, and neither have a middle name yet. I'd kind of like a J middle for Easton; I love the nn EJ, I just think it's so darn cute, and Essie and EJ? Adorable! I'm thinking Easton James, but as much as I love James it feels kind of stale as a middle name. As for Nash, I've got nothing at all.

Remy, I like Easton Riley and Nash Isaiah. How do you pronounce Isaiah? I follow a few youtubers who pronounce it differently to me (I pronounce it 'is-eye-uh'), so I'm just curious :)

Thanks again for the feedback. I feel like I'm starting to make a little progress getting out of the hole I'm in.

Isaiah is properly pronounced eye-zay-uh (US) and eye-zye-uh (UK).

EJ is so cute <3

I don't like the eye-zay-uh pronunciation, and I pronounce the first syllable more like the i sound in pip or tip, so it's more like e-zye-uh than eye-zye-uh in my head. I was curious because I know that a different pronunciation can affect the flow of the combo.

I like: Easton Jeremy/Jeremiah, Easton Jack, Easton Jonah, Easton Joseph, Easton Josiah, Nash Henry, Nash Wesley, Nash Caleb, and Nash Samuel. Thanks Addy!

Also, another quick question: Do Americans pronounce Josiah like they Isaiah? Like joe-zay-uh or joe-zye-uh? I pronounce it the second way, and I'm just curious :) It's just so fascinating that even though we speak the same language our pronunciations can differ so much. (The words aluminium and oregano are other examples of this, but names are interesting too :P)

I find it fascinating as well! We say joe-sye-uh (rather than zye) :) most "iah" names we say eye-uh (Nehemiah, Zephaniah, etc) but I guess the "-aiah" calls for aye-uh in our book? Haha I dunno :)

Ah, I see. I find that funny about Josiah, since you spell words like recognise with a z, but you pronounce Josiah with an s sound, it just makes me giggle. I always pronounced Nehemiah as neh-he-mee-uh as opposed to the eye-uh ending, which is so weird. I'm definitely going to be more conscious of how other people pronounce the names I like, sometimes the slight pronunciation difference makes a whole combo sound really weird!

I guess the Isaiah being aye-uh is kind of like Maia? I know that some people pronounce Maia as may-uh whereas I pronounce it as my-uh and the spelling Maya as may-uh, but a lot of people pronounce both the same way, or both both ways!

I also love the fact that you pronounce the th in Anthony, it's just so funny to me! Even saying an-tony in an american accent in my head sounds weird, I guess I've been watching American youtubers for too long!

This post has turned into a linguistics conversation lol. It's making me wish I'd studied that instead of what I did study!

I find Linguistics so interesting as well!

Hahahaha the Ne-he-mee-uh pronunciation makes me laugh, we say it Nee-uh-my-uh. :)

I say both Maia and Maya like my-uh, maybe because of the Mayans of South/Central America (as opposed to, say, Aztecs). Now that makes me think; how do you [Brits] say Mayan?

And Anthony seems funny to me, too! It's said so differently so many places! When I lived in Kenya there was a man named Anthony (US prn) and he went by Thony (pronouncing the "th" sound), haha

Wow, Nee-uh-my-uh sounds so weird to me! If I try and say it it literally sounds like I'm mumbling lol. It also reminds me of that song, the one that goes muhnuhmuhnuh do do do do do by the muppets. Could just be my accent though! :P

I say Mayan like my-an, but I knew a girl named Maya who pronounced it may-uh, and she got so angry if you called her my-uh. Also, my brain sees May and pronounces it like that, but I automatically want to pronounce the i in Maia.

I guess if you wanted it pronounced the other way you could just spell it Antony, and then there'd be no th to pronounce, although it looks so strange without the h. Thony is weird to me, I'd end up calling him thorny or something lol.

What about Sebastian Nash? That what came to mind while reading the comments. I love Nahla Isabella but Nahla is like um Halle Berry's daughter and I'm always going to link the name with that.

Sebastian Nash is very handsome, but it still has the repeating sounds that Nash Sebastian has, and although I like it I can't get that out of my head. I do associate the name Nahla with Halle Berry's daughter, but not as much since I live in the UK and celebrity culture isn't really as prominent here. Thanks for the input!

I live in the UK and have to disagree as celebrity and what they do is a huge part our society.

I agree that celebrity culture is probably popular in large cities, but where I live I don't think it is. It's not for me at least, maybe that's the way that I should have phrased it, and I don't think that my family would know that Halle Berry has a daughter named Nahla, they'd probably associate it more with The Lion King.

Thank you Remy! I like: Easton Jacoby, Easton Jase, Easton Josiah, Easton Jonah, Easton Jack, Easton Jonas, Easton Judah, and Easton Justice. I love EJ, it's just so spunky and different to other initial nicknames like AJ or CJ. Everett John nn EJ would be so cute, and Archie and EJ is adorable!

Thank you Alyse! I like Easton Josiah, and Nash Edward is very handsome, thank you :)

I've definitely settled on Celeste Isabella, and I'm set on using EJ as a nickname for Easton J___, so I just need to pick! I think Easton Josiah is at the top of the list right now, but I need to go through and see which one feels the best. Nothing for Nash still, but I'm going to put that on the back burner for now while I figure out my Easton combo, and then bring it back.

Thank you everyone for your help!
