I'm watching True Blood and I really like the name Sookie. WDYT? What do you think would be a good middle name?

Meh...My sister watches True Blood so I've seen a couple episodes. I just cant get over how Bill says her name long and drawn out...I guess Sookie just isn't my style. I like Sidda though and it has the same sort of feel to it (I got it from Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood).

It reminds me of the chef from Gilmore Girls-- doesn't look extremely appealing to me.

I've always loved it, there's just something so cute about it. It's also a nickname for Susan/Susanna. I love traditional names with non-traditional nicknames!

I'm not fond of the 'oo' in the middle or the sound it makes. Sookie is a really strong woman character in True Blood, and I think the author purposely gave her such an unusual names to make her seem even more special. Still, I just can't bring myself to like it. I completely agree with what Katie B said, sometimes Bill says her name like "Soooookieeeee." It gets really annoying. I think it might be okay as a middle name, but considering the vampire/twilight stuff, I personally would stay away from Sookie.

Although I love the show and the character of Sookie, I think its one of those names that would only be acceptable in the literary or television field. You could get away with it as a character in a book and tv show, but if it was used in real life it would just be kind of ridiculous. Too bad, because I thinks its so cute!
