So, If I have a girl I want to give her a nickname. I love Aubrey but I think it'd be cute to call her by something else sometimes, too. I dont really like Bre too much so I was thinking of Aby. Do you think Aby is close enough to Aubrey? Or does it not work at all? Any other suggestions? Or no nicknames at all? What do you think? I'd love to hear any thoughts/comments. Thanks!

I do think Aubrey is a little long to say everytime!

Here are some possible nns

Abby
Aubby
Abra
Ree
Remy
Rae
Renny
Vanna *Savannah*
Ella (I have NO idea where I got this out of Aubrey... Just seems like it would fit)

I was also thinking about Aubs, but just like around the house or something. When shes old enough for school I'd want her to go by Aubrey or something more formal like Bre or Abby or whatever.

I like Ree the best out of your suggestions. What do you think of Rhea?

Again, I dont know if these are too crazy to go with Aubrey or not!

I like Rhea! Is that pronouced R-ee or R-ee-a

Nah. They aren't crazy! I've never liked the name Sophia nn Sophie. So, if I ever have to choose that name for a story or such, I use the nn Josie. I have NO idea where I got it. I just did! Same with Ophelia. I'm not calling a little gir Ophie. so I went with Josie instead!

Rhea is pronounced either Ree-ah or Ray-ah. I've heard it both ways so I'm not sure which one is the right way! Lol.
I like Ree-ah the best since it has the Ree in it like Aubrey does.

I see what your saying. I guess Aby or Rhea arent too far off from Aubrey!

I like Abby best as a nn for Aubrey.
'Aby' looks misspelt
Though Rhea works well too

I thought Aby looked kind of misspelled too. A kid I used to baby sit for was named Aby, with one B, so I guess thats where I got it from, and because theres only one B in Aubrey, not two. I think I like Abby better myself, too. I'm not sure about Rhea anymore, I think Abby/Aby will work the best.

I just thought of the perfect nickname! Brea! Brea was on my name list for a little while and then I eventually took it off. I dont know how I didnt think of it before when I thought of Bre. Brea is perfect!

Brea would be a beautiful nn for Aubrey, Aubs would be cute for around the house though, especially while she's little.

Lol, yeah! I guess theres quite a few nicknames for Aubrey! But in the end I guess I'll let her go by what she wants to be called.

Do you not go by any of those nicknames because you dont like them or you just dont want any nickname?

Well, I'm a COMPLETE Tomboy. Bri or Bria doesn't sound tomboyish enough for me. Thats why sometimes I go by Ben with a few friends and Eden on the internet. I'm not a big fan of my name.. lol. Its ok though

Ohhh. I see. That makes sense.
Brea sounds really girly to me. Bre sounds kinda tomboyish. I cant picture Ben on a girl!

Lol! Thats the way I am. I play some "Family" games with my besties and with name ourselves and "siblings" (Yes, we are pretty immature! lol) and Mine is always the most "boyish" I can make it! lol

Lol. Its not immature! It seems like something I would do with my friends. Lol.
Except for I'd probably always use really girly names. Those are my favorite for some reason.
