We had no issues naming our first daughter. Our second however chooses to remain nameless.

I'm due in August so we still have time. Unfortunately we've already announced a name but now we don't love it. We're not announcing a retraction and a new name until we know for sure or possibly until birth.

Our old name was McKenna Blakely.

Right now we're considering

Ariana (I don't love this but DH does)

Chloe

Lilah/Delilah

Lily would be my top choice but my cat's name is Jillie and my sister has had Lilyana picked out for a girl for a long time and even though she's not expecting I don't want to make it seem like I stole her name because it's very likely she too could have a girl one day. I know she doesn't own the name but I'd rather be respectful if I can find another name I love even more.

So hit me with your favorite names. Middle name may stay Blakely I'm not 100% sure on that but my husband really wants that to be her middle since she's our last and he wants a child named after him (Blake is his middle name).

I really like McKenna Blakely! I also sort of like the spelling Makenna. Lilah and Ariana are both beautiful too and both work well with Blakely. You could really even use Blake/Blaike as a middle name maybe.  I've heard Blake used for a girl before, although I personally prefer it for a boy, but since surnames are often used for middle names I think the name Blake would be fine for a little girl if your husband really wants to use it. Some other suggestions...

Haven Blakely
