I'm looking for a name that both me and my fiancee can agree on. We don't love new, trendy names. Ideally, we would love something that sounds good in Russian, too. But, that's not so important.

 

So far we got:

 

David

Michael

Leo (Lev)

Pavel

Jacob 

 

 

 I'm more open to names like Dashiell or Drake as well.

So what I'm getting is that you want a name that's "classy" and not too "out-there" but it's super common either.  And preferably sounds good in Russian.

 

Of the names you listed, then, I think Leo (Lev), Dashiell, and Drake are your best bets.  They're common enough to be recognizeable, but uncommon enough that your future son (hopefully) won't share his name with five other kids in his class.
