POTENZA, Italy, Nov. 24 (UPI) -- An Italian political party is offering $1,940 to parents in five cities who name children after World War II-era dictator Benito Mussolini or his wife Rachele.

So, would you name your baby for cash?
How much would someone have to pay to tempt you to name your baby something they wanted? (What if it was a name you didn't particularly like?)

I guess you could name the kid that for the money and then call them whatever you wanted. If you were really pressed for cash. Benito really isnt that bad. Benita means pretty in spainish.

I would NEVER name my baby for cash...and never after anybody famous or infamous as the case may be. Children need their own identity, they need to have some feeling that they are special in the world, not that their parents got greedy and named them after a dictator for money. Especially with a name like Mussolini, try having that name.
