What do you think about the name Ember? Middle or First name? What would you pair it with? If you don't like it or if you do please do not hesitate to explain why. That is why I am asking.

Autumn Ember
Amelia Ember
Kinley Ember

Ember Grace
Ember Faith
Ember Juliet

I don't mind it, but it is nothing I'd ever use myself. I think it is a name that will become popular by the time I'm married and having kids (so like 8-10 years).

To me, the name feels dated like I consider Amber. But not bad.

I feel like it will become popular in the near future because I've seen it on several web pages the past few months but I think it's safe for now. My mom named me Alyssa "before it aas popular" and i wound up with 5 of us in high school... so its not set in stone.

You can never say for sure what will trend in the future. I really like it. Like a lot of word or nature names it takes a little courage to use it, so I don't think it will become too popular. Look at the names Winter or Poppy. They are all over
the forums but not many people really use them. I say go for Ember in the first slot but use a traditional middle. I really like:

Ember Juliet
Ember Juliana
Ember Christine
Ember Catherine/Katherine
Ember Cathleen/Kathleen

I don't mind Ember, my friend has a cat named Ember. Its actually a boy, so maybe because of that I easily see it suiting a masculine figure. But I can see the feminine appeal as well, of course. As most similar names are feminine <3

It could be a first or middle name, I don't see any reason for it not to be either. I'll ramble a few suggestions?

Ember Thalia / Thalia Ember
Ember Harlow / Harlow Ember
Ember Penelope / Penelope Ember
Ember Vivian / Vivian Ember
Ember Callista / Callista Ember
Ember Faye
Ember Jocelyn / Jocelyn Ember
Ember Diana / Diana Ember
Willow Ember
Ember Charlie / Charlotte Ember
Ember Lila
Ember Natalie / Natalie Ember

I hope some of these help! If not, let me know and I can suggest more :)

I've never thought about it on a boy. From someone who doesn't really like it on girls, actually think that would make a great male lead name in a book or movie or something. That's pretty cool. :)

I know I said use it in the first position, but Remy's idea of Charlotte Ember is just too beautiful to miss.

I LOVE Ember. ALWAYS been one of my favorites!! I've actually had Ember Juliet on a list recently. It's always been on my list in some combo one way or another. (:

From your combos, I really love:

I like the name Ember, but I wouldn't choose a name which end on a consonant eg. Ember Juliet.
Try & make it softer like eg. Ember Agatha or Agatha Ember.
The name will seem closed and will roll good off the tongue. But I love your own suggestion of Amelia Ember, but the name Amelia is high raising in popularity, so she's not going to be the only Amelia in her class.

Hmm... Ember... I like it as a fresher version of the somewhat outdated Amber. And Emmy is a cute nickname alternative. I'm generally not a fan of word names, especially unconventional names like Ember that could possibly have teasing potential and will likely be confused with Amber often. Nevertheless, I think it's a pretty-sounding choice for either a first or middle name. Due to the potential complications I listed, maybe a middle?

I feel the need to strike Autumn Ember since both are word names. As a result, the combo sounds like a phrase... the embers of autumn. Amelia Ember is a little challenging to say, but it's very pretty, probably one of my favorite combos you listed. I'm not a fan of Kinley. Although Kinley Ember has a nice flow to it, Kinley sounds made-up to me.

Additionally, I love Ember Juliet - such a gorgeous combo! As mentioned before, Ember Grace and Ember Faith sound a little cheesy to me since they're word names.

Good luck!

I love the name Ember and, like Remy Hadley, I have known a terrific male cat named Ember! My sister saved him from a bushfire and he was black so it was a really great name for him! I really love both Autumn Ember and Ember Grace and also love Vivian Ember (spelt this way because otherwise there are a ridiculous number of "e"s! :-)
