i know an elmira and elira.. they are albanian and i think a little too similar...
i also know a lauren and jenna - i think they are cute..
for boy/girl twins, i have always wanted kimberly andjason.
for boys, i know a samuel and nathan, who go by sam and nate.

i know so many more, but can't put them all on one post!! hHahha

  • Interests:I love reading...Romance and fantasy novels mostly, though I do get into some other genres every now and then. I also LOVE music...Mainly older music, but some newer stuff, also. I LOVE the Beatles! They are the greatest! lol. I also love to just drive around in my car...And shopping! When Ihave money, I LOVE to shop!

Posted 05 May 2008 - 08:16 PM

Hm...I've known a Jessica and Danielle...A Landon and Laurie...Lenzi and MacKenzi...And I can't think of the others right now, but I'm sure there are more I'm forgetting about. lol.

Hm...I also have ideas for if I ever have twins.

For boy/boy I like Lennon McCartney and Harrison Starr...That way I don't overload ONE son with the entire Beatles, I have two to fill it up!! lol!

For girl/girl twins I like Luna Eclipse and Clio Patra (the mn ideas were from Blake, but I really do love the fns)

For boy/girl twins I'm liking Boston and Geneva

  • Interests:More than anything else in the world I love being with my family, which includes my amazing husband and our three gorgeous daughters. We are currently expecting number four, and are so excited! I am of course a mother first, but I am a writer second. I am a nut about names and etymology in general. I love reading; I’m a sucker for both the more modern fantasy books, like Harry Potter, and the also classics, like Shakespeare. Music is another thing that I could’ve live without, and I have to say my tastes definitely lean towards modern rock: Nickelback, Hinder, Papa Roach, and Theory of a Deadman are my very favorites. Not too big on television, but I couldn’t live without Lost. I also love cars (and driving them!), and I am the proud “mommy” of a Ford Mustang. I’m also pretty big on talking and I like to see myself as friendly, so I hope to see you around the boards!

My twin girls are named Sinéad and Shelby :) My husband's mom and uncle were twins as well, and their names were Rebecca and Chance... not at all matchy, or anything. I did come across a pair of twins in my youth by the name of Portia and Alexis... turns out their names were plays on Porsche and Lexus; I thought that was kind of a cute way to make them "match" without sounding similar. And my nurse when I gave birth to my girls was a twin herself... her name was Joy, and her brother was Roy.

And Josh and I have already decided that, should we ever have twin boys, their names would be Jacoby "Jake" and Jericho.

I've got twins named Lydia and James. Not very themey, I think. If I were to have g/g twins their names would probably be combinations of Rose, Joanna, Imogen and Isobel. If it were b/b twins they would be named combinations of Oliver, Ciarán, Morgan or William, and for b/g combinations of the aforementioned names.

Twins I know are:
Kayleigh and Shayne (g/b)
Peter and Andrew (identical)
Hugo and Bruno (identical)

  • Interests:I LOVE reading. I'm into almost every genre and generally read a book a week, if possible. I like Iris Johansen, Karen Marie Moning, Stephen King, James Patterson, Jane Austen, Charlotte Brontë, Diana Gabaldon, Kathy Reichs, and Robert Burns (every Scot's favorite author). I really love music and even got accepted to the Mason Gross School of Performing Arts at Rutgers University (my alma mater) for vocal performance. Unfortunately performance life was not for me, so I went into English Lit and French instead. Music is still a big part of my life, and I like a multitude of musical genres from Reggae to Rock to Opera. I've seen Carmen and La bohème each twice. (And I cry every time.) My husband and I also have a special place in our hearts for The Beatles.

I went to school with several sets of twins. They were Jennifer & Jacqueline, Billy (William) & Jackie (Jacqueline), David & Jason, Karen & Kelly, Shannon & Kelly (both girls), Brianna & Dominic, Sabrina & Acacia, and Casey (girl) & Brianne. These are not really themed, excepet for maybe Karen & Kelly (same first initial) and Shannon & Kelly (very Irish names).

I also have several sets of twins in my family:
Thomas & Steven (my uncles)
Lily & Daniel (a first cousin's kids)
John & James (grandfather & great uncle)
Jeffrey & Jeromy (first cousins)
So you all can see why I'm a just little nervous about possibly having twins. :)

If we were to have twins, I don't think I would want to use a theme except for maybe the same origin of the names. Like both kids could have Gaelic names, or even both children could be named for deceased relatives. If I went with a theme, it would have to be something not so obvious.

I like Alana Hazel & Olivia Eden for g/g, Henry Royden & James Edward for b/b (note: these are names of both of our grandfathers), and maybe Seán Micheil & Senga Deòiridh, pr: "DOR ee"(both are Gaelic and the first names would be the Gaelic variants of a great-uncle and a great-aunt's name)

I have twin cousions named Lisa and Teresa, these are nice names if you like the ryming names. I have seen b/b twin names of Jasper and Casper, not my cup of tea, but they are kinda cute names for twins. I went to shool with a g/g set of Identical twins named Moria (more-Ah) and Megan, I like these names b/c they use the same letter but do not ryme.

If I ever have twins their names will be Penelope/Lucas for b/g. For g/g Penelope/Paisley and for b/b Lucas/Levi.
My Least favorite twin names are the ones that rhyme, I like soem but would probably never use the ryhming names.

I know a few sets of twins. Stephanie and Kathleen (identical), Matthew (Matt) and Aaron (identical), Rebecca (Becca) and Rachel (identical), Matthew (Matt) and Paul (identical), and Katherine (Katie) and Heather (identical), and Lacey and Kacey (boy) (obviously fraternal). Apparently Matthew is a great name for a twin! Haha. I really like the name Lacey, but I'm not too big on rhyming names, especially for b/g twins. If I were ever to have g/g twins, I believe I would name them Charlotte Quinn nn Charley and Lillian Monet nn Lillie. B/b, James Patrick and Sterling Alexander. B/g, James Patrick and Anna Madeleine.

I don't know that many twins. My cousins, Benjamin James and Michael Dean are the only ones I can think of.

I would love to have twins one day. Hopefully girl/girl, but boy/boy wouldn't be bad.

I know a Marcus and Erin, an Anna and Jessica, an Anthony and Vincent (who go by Tony and Vinny), Catarina and Samantha (who go by Cat and Sam), and once I even knew a Ryan and Bryan...that was awful.

If I had twins...
Lily Grace and Emmaline Hope
Christian Trowbridge and Landon Campbell (both middle names are family names)
Carter August and Lucy June

And this one's been my favorite sib-set for as long as I can remember, but I suddenly realized why they sound so nice together...
Samson Chase and Lyla Corinne
Samson and Delilah, duh. Maybe it's too hoakey to use on an actual child, but I love it anyways. :)

It seems like growing up I knew tons of twins, but the only ones whose names I can remember are

Jessica and Jennifer
Ann and Jennifer
Mara and Kara (they didn't rhyme; pronounced marr-UH and care-UH)
Belinda Gale and Glenda Dale (in native Texan, these rhyme exactly the same :))
Jeffrey and Brandon
Derek and Jared

Really exciting, I know. All except Belinda and Glenda were born in the 80s (if you couldn't tell.)
