Im writing a book and its about a widow that raises sextuplets on her own. Three boys and three girls. So i need names for the woman and the babies(going to be about 9 months old) but please don't take any of the names from tv shows simliar.(aka john and kate plus 8) and if i should add any more characters just suggest some(a boyfriend will come in at some point)can you help me? Uncommon or common names, favorite names etc! Need More ideas! possible triplets at some point.(came in with bf or a death.)
hopes this helps!
Okay this will help u with name ideas: (sextuplets)

1 boy: outgoing, energetic loves to run and be obnoxious, loves all sports(and understands them)
born 4th loves all the colors of the rainbow plus some(even the girly colors) his name is now going to be Blaise(final choice)

2 boy: shy, nerd likes to read nonfiction books and build, calm, friendly, and a
genius! born 2nd dresses like a nerd and of courses get teased. doesn't watch tv except for educational shows and gets straight As

3 boy:is smart but doesn't know it.
born last of the sixth. Loves the ocean and everything in it. Is a vegetarian.

1 g: tomboy, likes to hangout with her brothers then her sisters. also a genius(skips grades)
also loves sports favorite color is blue
born first also loves sports

2 g: preppy type, girly loves all girl type colors HATES to DO sports but LOVES cheering for and watching them loves the colors all the shades of purple and pink HATES any other color besides white and black likes preppy type music?is going to be named Brooke

Just thought of all theses things now! Hope it helps! and im setting in the 21st century just after 9/11 happened
.

EDIT: Sunday,10/4/09 I am now following a B letter name for the sextuplets. So the names have to start with a B
.

The mom's letter is going to be an A.

http://www.behindthename.com/ <---- Good site to check names out on.

I would feel a lot more comfortable giving you name suggestions if I knew what your definition of 'unique' is. Is it old names that have fallen out of use to the point where they now sound unique and fresh? Or unique modern names?

Well here's my go at first names.

Quill/Quillan (it's a name a writer would be inspired to use for a boy in real life) means 'cub'
Abalene (it's a girl place name, it has different spellings if you want to change it)
Alban (it's another place name but for a way boy, I think it goes well with Abalene)
Emery (unisex name, variant of Emmerich)
Quin (a boy name meaning descendant of Cuinn, female version is Quinn, I would use it as a nn for Quincy)
Carine (prn Kah-reen, is a girls name that is a variant of Carina)
Matthias (Scandinavian for Mathew, there are different ways of spelling this, the prn that I like is ma-thie-as)
Celeste (feminine form of Caelestis)
Maudette (simply adding a feminine touch on the girls name Maude)
Estelle (girl name, comes from Latin Stella meaning 'star')
Joachim (German boy name prn wa-keem)
Laurence (boy name, is a place name as well as being inspired from the Latin word for Laurel)
Maeva (girl name, used commonly in Polynesia, Tahitian it means 'welcome. Pronounced Mah-ay-va, I prefer this over Maev which is becoming common imo)

I want to be an author one day, so my fingers are crossed. I also enjoy dance and hanging out with my friends.

If anybody else wants to try and name my characters i still need a last name! and 2 boy names and 3 girl names (decided to go with Emmerich for one of the boys) plus other character names! Common, uncommon, names not used that much or/and your favorite names! List all the names that you can think of that will suit my characters.

Pick out definite first names and then it will be easier to come up with middle names and a surname.

Just as a side note: Samantha is far less popular than Madison. Maybe in your generation, you know more Samanthas but currently Madison is extremely popular. I am 24 and have only every heard of one Samantha but in my daughters class/activities she has known 5-6 Madisons. Just something to think about.
