It's a girl for Ellen Pompeo!

The Grey's Anatomy star, 39, and husband Chris Ivery welcomed a daughter, Stella Luna Pompeo Ivery, on Sept. 15 in Los Angeles, her rep confirms to PEOPLE.

The couple – who wed in 2007 – announced the pregnancy in April.

So, what do you think of Stella Luna?

Though the names aren't particularly my style, I think it is very cute. In latin, stella means 'star' and luna means 'moon'. I thinks its a neat name!

The name is a little much for me personally. Stella and Luna are very pretty by them selves, but I don't really care for them together. It isn't awful though.

Rose, I don't speak latin (which I think is super amazing that you are studying it!! I'm rather jealous actually!) but I caught the "star & moon" connotation as well, from my few years of spanish :)

I agree with Anna, I think both names are cute but they are a bit much together.

I think it is quite cute!
Better choice than some of the hollywood mommies have chosen!

There's a children's book about a bat named Stellaluna so my first thought is that but otherwise, it's pretty.

I think it's okay. I like how both names are the same style. And as most of you know, I am a HUGE fan of Luna. :)

However, I believe Stella and Luna would make a better sib set versus in one name.

And I thought of Stellaluna too!!!

Definitely the first thing I thought of was the bat in the story book so hopefully that doesn't floolow her around all her life. Maybe its not actually a very popular book. I would have preferred Stella or Luna on thier own with a different name.

It's very sweet :) And as far as celebrity names go, it's perfect!
I do like how they've used both Latin words for "Moon" and "Star", actually...

I like both Luna and Stella, but Stella is my favourite, Alyssa!
