We like the name Emma and it was my Grandmother's name. We thought about using his sister's name for a middle name - Lynn, but when I tell someone the name the repeat Emmalynn - like it is all one name. Any suggestions for middle names?

If you really love Emma Lynn, I think you should go with it -- more often than not she won't be using her middle name. If you really do want a different a different middle name, though, my only suggestion is Emma Grace. It has the same sort of classic, beautiful feel that "Lynn" brings, I think.

Emma Layne
Emma Faith
Emma Faye
Emma Rae

Emma Joy
Emma Pearl
Emma Ruth
Emma Reese
Emma Eden
Emma Hope
Emma Ivy
Emma Jo

I like Emma Lynn. It's sweet and both names obviously hold a special meaning for you. I think you should stick with it. Most people wont call her Emma Lynn, they'll probably only call her Emma or Em'.

She's not going to be called by her first name, so if you like Emma, call her Emma. but if you're worried about it, call her Emmeline/Emmaline. :) good luck!

Emma Lynn is a gorgeous name, if you love it then use it. She will only get called Emma at school and by friends, only you and close freidns and family will know her middle name, yet you would still call her Emma.
If your in doubt middle name suggestions are:
Emma Jane
Emma Grace
Emma Kate
Emma Louise
Emma Paige
Emma Sage
Emma Rose

Good luck !!! xx

why not name her emmeline (or a variant...emmelyn?) and have another middle name?
emmelyn grace...emmelyn rose...emmelyn nerys (welsh for "lady" :))...emmelyn renée...emmelyn amara... seems pretty versatile in terms of how many syllables it could accept for a middle name, as well.
