I am convinced that my twins will end up being a boy and a girl, so I have been muling over boy/girl twin name sets that we could fall in love with. My husband found what we feel is the perfect name for a boy, Ayler Grey, and we decided to have the same feel for a girl baby with the Ay- first name and the middle name Rae (a middle name that my mother and I share). This brings up the issue of the first name! We both like Aydin, but that is a traditionally male name. We are very open to suggestions of other Ay- girl (or unisex) names, and other opinions about Aydin as a girls name. Another issue is if the twins end up being two girls, we want to stick with the Ay- Grey name for a girl and have the Ay- Rae name also.
Thoughts?

We really liked Aylin, but then my brother and his girlfriend decided to name their daughter Taylin. Too similar for us. :/

What about Arley? I know it doesn't begin with Ay, but it does have an A and a Y...haha but really I think it's a precious name and Arley Rae would be wonderful with Ayler Grey. They may be too similar for you, though...I like it though. It has the same letters as Ayler, but in a different order. :)

Or:
Aynsley (I prefer the spelling Ainsley, but not a bad name :) )
Ayla
Aya / Ayah (I prefer the spelling Aia) [pron. Eye-uh]
Aylix
Ayda (I prefer the spelling Ada)
Ayva (I prefer the spelling Ava)

I think your two best options are:
Ayler Grey and Arley Rae
Ayler Grey and Aynsley Rae

Ayler Grey and Arley Rae
Ayler Grey and Aynsley Rae

I copied Addy w/ the above. Those are the cutest combos! Especially Ayler and Arley, because they sound different enough :)

If they end up being girl/girl I would suggest Mae in place of Gray. However, if you still want to use Gray, then try a more feminine spelling: GRAE

Congrats and good luck!
