Hi mommies! Is it too weird if I spell my baby name Anabela instead of Annabella? Do you think that she will have to explain ( make sure) the single N and single L all the time?

It's not too weird, but she would probably have to tell people "only one n and one l" all the time.

Anabela is a legit spelling, since it's used in Portuguese, though virtually everyone in the English-speaking world would assume it's Annabella.

I looks really pretty, but yeah, she'd probably have to correct all the time. I still do even now, even though my spelling is now the more common one in Australia and most people have it that way.

I like the look of Anabela better, and usually when someone has a name that I assume can be spelled more than one way I ask. My name is spelled phonetically and I have to correct people sometimes so any name can be messed up. Go with what you want

I pronounce those names differently. I do think she would be constantly correcting people. Is there a significance to your spelling?

Pretty names BTW

I prefer Annabella but I don't think spelling it Anabela would be weird. I think it's fine though she'll have to correct people a lot.
