Hello,

I just joined and I am ready to start bombarding you with questions.

Among some other names, we are considering Lilia for a girl and Ezra for a boy.

They are strong contenders on our list, but our oldest son's name is Eliot and that is where my doubts begin.

Eliot and Lilia sounds like a mouthful, doesn't it? Would it be unbearably corny to have siblings with these names?

As for Ezra, well, it has a very distinctive sound and feel next to Eliot, but our three boys have different initials. I go back and forth thinking that it wouldn't be so bad to have two boys with E names. What do you think?

Thanks in advance for your answers.
Rednerd.

I think Ezra & Eliot would be adorable names for siblings. And while Lilia & Eliot are both very similar, I think they could possibly work for siblings. Do you plan to use any nicknames for Lilia? If you do, that might make the name a bit more usable.

Thank you Katie B.

We don't have a nickname in mind for Lilia. We are not against nicknames, but our boys don't have them, probably because we're not creative enough to call them something other than their names.

We called them dumplings when they were babies, and that is as far as we went.

Lily or Lill seem like the natural petnames for Lilia, but I don't hear myself calling her that if she is indeed a Lilia.

:)

I think all work fine together. Eliot and Lilia, although sound similar, are quite different, and therefore, I think are okay.

They're all really sweet names.

Thank you Ashooles :)

I guess we'll keep saying Eliot and Lilia out loud until we are convinced, or sick of it, whichever happens first.

I very much agree with what the others have said. I was trying to think of names that could have the nickname Lilla. Then, you could use Lilla, but not as much of a mouthful when introducing (though I don't think it is a problem as is.)

Lilly
Lilliana
Amelia
Lillian
Elisabeth
