If you were to have twins, what sort of names what you give them? You could do matchy ones (Jackson and Jordana), or you could do two different ones (Martha and Anthony). I've known quite a few twins in my lifetime, some of their names are...

Ethan and Ryan

Christopher and Andrew

Jack and Erik

Mariana and Briana

Carson and Keegan

Matthew and Megan

Jaelyn and Jenah

Kaia and Kyra

Some of the matchy ones are ridiculous, I'll admit, and it gets especially ridiculous when they're of the same gender/identical. So, I tend to prefer separate names. However, there was a G/G twin name that struck in my mind as a pretty good one: Elizabeth "Beth" and Eleanor "Helen". What are your thoughts on twin names?

I love to think of twin names. I love stylistically matching names for twins, or sibset in general, over matching initials. But I like some matching initials.

Some favorites:

Ezra & Nehemiah (Biblically linked figures)

Harper & Emory

Hawthorne & Thoreau

Jonah & Vivian

Nash & Boheme

Levi & Naomi

Eloise & Beatrice

Suri & Scout

Isla & Rosemary

Some twins I've known:

Michael & Erika

Rachel & Kaitlin "Katie"

Samuel & Peter

Cody & Morgan

Arielle & Sophia

Matthew & Joshua

I personally don't have twin combos I guess. I just use my regular names together.

I love names that match in style, particularly old fashioned names :) with some nature and surname names as well. I could totally see any of these names working great for twins of my own.. (Well, most of them match. Any that rhyme or have matching sounds I wouldn't put together)

Mabel "Mae"
Clementine "Clem, Minnie"
Harriet "Hattie"
Ophelia "Fi"
Phoebe
Cordelia

Rowan "Ro"
Sterling
Theodore "Theo"
Henry
Leonidas
Everett "Ev"
Finnegan "Finn"
Wilson "Will"

There's more somewhere in my head, but I can't recall them right this moment.. :)

Well, I've always thought that if you are going to go through all the trouble to have twins, and not everybody gets the joy of twins, you might as well make the names cute, fun, and somewhat coordinated.

I just thought of this one: Levi & Lacy!
I fell in love instantly ;)

Some other faves:

Jackson Theodore & Jericho Roman
Toby Levi & Titus Jeremiah
Asa Lincoln & Archer Reid

Felicity Mae & Faith Elina
Faith Elina & Hope Eva
Piper Joy & Paisely Willow

GPs:
Locklyn and Larsen (g,g)
Kirsten & Karina (g,g)

Felicity Mae & Maximus/Maverick Flynn (reversed initials)
Torin & Tisha

I love matchy twin names if they're not TOO matchy. I hate twin names like Bill and Will or George and Georgia. Those are way too close!
I DO like names that match a little less though. Like "Barbie" said, if you're gonna have twins, why not make it fun?
I have a few twin combos that I absolutely love.
I love twin names starting with the same first letter, but am against their middle initials all beings the same as well. You make either the 1st or middle name initial be the same, not both. I am particularly obsessed with the letter K. (I really don't know why!) I love Kaden, Kyson, Karson, Kimberly, Katelyn, Kaelyn.
I also love the names Ryan and Rylie for twin girls. (Yes, I said twin girls.) I just really love them and think they'd be cute for twins! I wouldn't use both names, unless they were twins. It would be a little too close any other way.
I also like the idea of having the first name of Baby A being similar to the middle name of Baby B.
I love Eden ??? (No middle name yet!) and Matthew Aiden.
They match in a less obvious way! Love it!
Well, that's about it. I also like the idea of switching the 1st and middle initials, but don't have any examples of that. (One's initials could be like ABC while the other's is BAC. See what I mean?)

Some of the twins I've known in my lifetime:

Morgan and Mackenzie

Matthew and Christina

Parker and Preston

Alex and Daniel

Sydney and Rachel

Charlie and TJ

I like all of these combinations, especially Parker and Preston. I thought their names were so cute and definitely suited their personalities. Typically I don't like the combination of names that are overly similar (like Annie S said), but the twins in question (Parker and Preston) happened to be best friends and inseparable, so their rather matchy (well, I'm not so sure if you would call it that, but I thought they were) names worked out personality-wise in my opinion and flowed quite nicely. Otherwise, the combination of any two names would pretty much work  :)

I also noticed that a lot of the names included in my real-life examples were unisex, for example, Alex, Morgan, Parker, etc. I think the idea of having one twin's name be unisex is fine, so long as it's not too confusing and the poor kid doesn't have to grow up mistaken as their twin's "brother" or "sister" when they are in fact the opposite sex.

So I was in class and I learned that neon was discovered by Sir William Ramsay and Morris W. Travers. And then I thought: Ramsay and Travers would make perfect twin boy names.

I've always loved when twins names don't match. They already share a birthday and every stage of life after, let them be individuals. However, I don't mind less obvious matching. If I had boy/girl twins, I'd want to name them
