Hayden vs. Hyden

I prefer Hayden. I agree with you that you could use Hayden to honor his uncle, since the names are so close. There are several people in my family with the same names, and holidays can sure get confusing! But naming your child a name that is similar to a relative allows you to honor that person without all the confusion. Plus, I just like the sound of Hayden better.

I agree with the post above. I have adored the name Hayden ever since reading a book with a character by that name, and to be honest Hyden just sounds made up to me, though it's interesting that it's his uncle's name. And I believe Hayden's close enough to honor a Hyden, especially if you like Hayden better anyway.

Hyden sounds like "hiding" in my opinion. Hayden is great and is close enough to honor his uncle.
