The first family to arrive includes a sleepy mother. In the front seat of the cart is a demanding 2-year-old. The mother’s brown hair is in a messy bun atop her head, and her daughter’s hair is split into even pigtails. The daughter is screaming, “I want a toy!”. Her mother is buying a gift for her cousin’s birthday party.

They were checking out the twins toys and a monitor for the baby. They are in a rush. Her husband is trying to explain to her sister that a car isn’t a boys toy. The little girl who got the car is crying and her sister is excited because she’s going to have a new baby sibling.

The eight year old daughter, sitting gracefully in the cart, is proud of her selection for her new brother’s crib. Her brother, a nine year old rebel, is riding on the side of the cart. He doesn’t seem to thrilled with his prissy family.

Then there’s three 10 year old boys, the triplets, who are teasing the 8 year old son. There’s also a 9 year old, who’s sitting quietly in a corner. The seven and five year old are stuck in a game of “house”. The five year old sitting in the baby seat, with the seven year old pushing the cart.

They are buying a heap of clothes for the young one.

A five year old girl and a three year old girl are talking about their cool new Lelli Kelly shoes and Justice t-shirts.

The tenth, and final family of the hour, was composed of a businesswoman (It’s a Saturday, she’s off work), with her brown hair pulled into a tight bun. In the cart was her eight-year-old son. He was ultra excited about his new Mario Kart 8 game he purchased! And not thrilled about the Journey Girls doll for his cousin. Not happy at all. But decided to focus on his video game! He was wearing a shirt that said “JUST ONE MORE BLOCK” with a picture of Minecraft’s Steve on it.
