Greeting!

I'm looking for two middle names to go with Neal and I've been going around in circles for a while now. He has his roots in Northern Europe, yet South European and Anglosaxon names would be preferable instead of Scandinavian ones. Unisex names (such as Alix, which is sometimes used for boys in France) are also worth considering!

I've come up with some more or less appropriate names (see below), but creating a phonetically coherent combination is tricky. It's not an absolute requirement that Neal is the first name - it could be a middle name too. The family name consists of seven letters, starts with S and ends with O.

Addison

Allison

Alastair
Alistair

Alix

Avi

Carlo

Chiaro

Ciaran

Felix

Helio

Matthew

Maximilian

Michel

Michele

Nicola

Paulo

Stephen

I'll be reading all replies with great interest. Thank you so much!

Mixing names of different origin/styles can be tricky within the same given name.  The full name usually needs some sort of cohesion.  With the first name being one syllable, it helps if the first middle name has stress on the first syllable for a nicer flow.

Neil Alistair Matthew

Neil Alistair Carlo

Neil Alistair Rowan

Neil Alfred Viggo

Neil Alfred George

Neil Oliver Stephen

Neil Oliver Michel

Neal Alix Addison, yay or nay?

I know Addison has surged in popularity for girls in the States quite a bit during the last ten years or so, but since we're European I don't see it as an issue. As for Alix, while it is often considered feminine, roughly 3/8 of all French bearers are male, and roughly 30% in the U.S.

Since the first name Neal is 100% masculine, we might afford a bit of an adventure with the middle names?

I think the overall flow of Neal Alix Addison is nice.  Good Luck!
