Dice: http://www.bgfl.org/.../dice/eight.htm

You are now 30, your husband is 31, and your children are 7 and 4. You love your family dearly, but sometimes it feels like you're a single parent with your husband away so much for his job in the military. Your husband has been deployed for just under two months when you receive a letter in the mail.

Your worst nightmare. Dear Mrs. _____, we regret to inform you... You don't get past the first sentence before tears blur your vision. Your husband has been killed in the line of duty. Family and friends come by and comfort your family, and you stay strong for your children, but you're heartbroken. Your other half is gone.

Just a week after you hear news of your husband's death, you get another unexpected piece of news--but this time it's good. You're just about two months pregnant. You burst into bittersweet tears, feeling that this child is a blessing but also knowing that his/her father will never get to see him/her.

You stay strong, refusing to let yourself go in the direction of depression. You love your children fiercely and would never let yourself put anything before them, even if it was your own feelings. About seven months after you find out about your pregnancy, you give birth to a seemingly healthy baby. As you hold your newborn close, crying with joy and with sorrow that your husband couldn't be there, the doctors check the baby's vitals. He/she is crying like a normal baby, and opening his/her eyes, but something seemed different.

What is your baby's gender? (roll)

1} girl

2} girl

3}boy

4} girl

5} boy

6} girl

7} boy

8} boy

What is his/her name?

Girl First: http://nameberry.com...for-Girls?all=1

Girl Middle: http://nameberry.com...for-Girls?all=1

Boy first: http://nameberry.com...-for-Boys?all=1

Boy Middle: http://nameberry.com...-for-Boys?all=1

Last: Your & your husband's last name

After a further examination it appears that the baby was born blind. You feel awful, as if it was your fault for not having a safer pregnancy, though the doctors assure you there was nothing you could have done about it. It had something to do with genetics, and you remember one of your uncles was born blind. You still love the baby to the moon and back regardless, and your other children do too, though they become fiercely protective of him/her, as you suspect they will be for the rest of their lives. It warms your heart to see how much the siblings love each other--that they really appreciate those they have because they know how quickly someone can be gone, even at their young ages.

My name is Violet Sophia Channing, I'm Twenty-Two Years Old and have just finished attending college, and for the first time, I'm living away from my family, supporting myself with money from my new job as an Assistant Chef at a local restaurant. I feel young and alive, I'm ready now to make bigger choices and I've started doing just that.

I've been dating my boyfriend, Nathaniel Tiberius Blair, who is Twenty-Three Years Old, a year older than me, since I met him three years ago in college, we had a very moviesque experience with him and I bumping into each other at the coffee shop. I spilled coffee all over his shirt and my books went flying. It was love at first sight though. We've recently moved into an apartment together and I can't wait to see where it will take us.

Hey everyone, it's Violet. It's been a year since Nathaniel and I moved in together, though time seems to have flown. Nathaniel has enlisted in the Navy, though he hasn't gone anywhere yet.

After having felt off for a while, I decide to take a pregnancy test, which comes back positive. Just as I was about to tell Nathaniel the news--which both excites me and scares me a little bit--he says he has something he wants to tell me as well. It doesn't seem like anything out of the ordinary until Nathaniel bends down on one knee and asks me to marry him. Ecstatic, I say yes, and then tell my new fiance the news--We're expecting a child!

The two of us agree to hold off on our wedding until after the baby is born.

Nathaniel is deployed overseas for most of my pregnancy, but when the day the baby finally comes, he arrives home in the nick of time--just an hour into my labor! I had been afraid he wouldn't make it to the birth of our first child, but relief floods over me as he's there to hold my hand as our beautiful, perfectly healthy baby is born.

The baby is a Girl. Nathaniel and I decide to name her Arianna Sophia Blair. She's just the most perfect bundle of joy and Nathaniel and I are thrilled to be her parents, since we're giving her Nathaniel's last name we agree to give her my middle name so she and I can share that.

Hey y'all it's Violet again and today is the big day! Arianna is now two year old, and just a couple months ago we celebrated her second birthday. Arianna had a blast. Now, at the ages of 25 and 26, my fiance and I are finally getting married! Arianna is going to be the little flower girl. Our theme is going to be Lavender and Mint Green.

The night is a blast. I fall in love with Nathaniel all over again, just like when we first met. Arianna enjoyed dancing to the music, and my parents offered to watch her so you two can have a little honeymoon weekend, though we're sure we'll be worrying like crazy even though she is in the best possible hands.

After a two-hour drive to a hotel on the beach, we arrive at our honeymoon destination. However, the romance is cut short when my stomach is upset. Thinking it's just a bug, we decide to go home, though I feel bad about having to take a rain check on the honeymoon. For the next few days I continue to feel pretty bad, so I make an appointment with my doctor. After a brief examination, the doctor tells me that I'm fine, and confirms what I had already begun to guess--I'm pregnant!

Over the nine months of my pregnancy, Arianna cozies up to the idea of having a little brother or sister. When the big day finally comes and you go to the hospital, Arianna is practically jumping up and down with excitement as our relatives keep an eye on her. Nathaniel is by my side--unfortunately, he'll be deployed again in just a couple of weeks--as I give birth to a beautiful, healthy baby.

The baby is a Boy. Nathaniel and I decide to name him Elliot Nathaniel Blair. He's just the most perfect angel and Nathaniel and I are thrilled to be his parents, we name him Elliot after my grandfather, Elias Tyler Channing, who passed away last year and, we decide to give him Nathaniel as a middle name similarly as to how Arianna has my middle name as her middle name. Arianna and the rest of the family adore Elliot and we're so glad to have the time with him now, even if it's just a few weeks, before Nathaniel deploys again.

It's Violet, although this time with some more sombe news. I'm Thirty Years Old now, Nathaniel is Thirty-One Years Old, and our children are Seven and Four. I love my family dearly, but sometimes it feels like I'm a single parent with Nathaniel away so much for his job in the military. Nathaniel has been deployed for just under two months when I receive a letter in the mail.

I feel young and alive, I'm ready now to make bigger choices and I've started doing just that.

I've been dating my boyfriend, William Magnus Addison, who is Twenty-Three Years Old, a year older than me, since I met him three years ago in college, we had a very moviesque experience with him and I bumping into each other at the park. He ran into me while I was sitting reading a book, he'd been playing a game of football with his friends and was trying to catch a long ball. It was love at first sight though. My name is Stella India Delaney. I am 22 years old, having just finished university, and for the first time, I've living away from my family, supporting myself with money from my job working as an Interior Designer.

I've been dating my boyfriend, Hugh Cato Landon, who is a year older than me, since I met him three years ago in college. We have recently moved in an apartment together.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's been a year since Hugh and I moved in, though time seems to have flown.
Hugh has enlisted in the Navy, though he hasn't gone anywhere yet.
After having felt off for a while, I decide to take a pregnancy test, which comes back positive. Just as I'm about to tell my boyfriend the news--which both excites me and scares me a little bit--he says he has something he wants to tell me. It doesn't seem like anything out of the ordinary until he bends down on one knee and asks me to marry him. Ecstatic, I say yes, and then tell my fiance the news--we are expecting a child!
The two of us agree to hold off our wedding until after the baby is born.
Hugh is deployed overseas for most of my pregnancy, but when the day the baby finally comes, he arrives home in the nick of time--just an hour into my labor! I had been afraid he wouldn't make it to the birth of his first child, but relief floods over me as he's there to hold my hand as our beautiful, perfect healthy baby girl is born.
We name our new daughter Adelaide Sophia Landon.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Today is the big day!

My daughter is now two years old, and just a couple of months ago we celebrated her birthday. Addy had a blast! Now, at the ages of 25 and 26, Hugh and I are finally getting married! My daughter is going to be the little flower girl. How cute! Our theme colors are black, and white, and green.

The night is a blast. I fall in love with my husband all over again, just like when we first met. Our daughter enjoyed dancing to the music, and our parents offered to watch her so we can have a little honeymoon weekend, though I'm sure I'll be worrying like crazy even though she is in the best possible hands.

After a two hour drive to a hotel on the beach, we arrive at our honeymoon destination.

Over the nine months of my pregnancy, my daughter cozies up to the idea of having a little brother or sister. When the big day finally comes and I go to the hospital, my now three-year old daughter is practically jumping up and down with excitement as my relatives keep an eye on her. My husband is by my side--unfortunately, he'll be deployed again in just a couple of weeks--as I give birth to my beautiful, healthy baby boy.

"Welcome to the world, your baby brother, James Samuel Landon!" Hugh comes out into the waiting room, where our daughter is, with a blue-blanketed bundle of joy. Adelaide laughs and claps her hands, begging to hold her baby brother.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am now 30, my husband is 31, and our children are 7 and 4. I love my family dearly, but sometimes it feels like I'm a single parent with my husband away so much for his job in the military. My husband has been deployed for just under two months when I receive a letter in the mail.
My worst nightmare. Dear Mrs. Landon, we regret to inform you... I don't get past the first sentence before tears blur my vision. My husband has been killed in the line 0f duty. Family and friends come by and comfort my family, and I stay strong for children, but I'm heartbroken. My other half is gone.
Just a week after I hear news of my husband's death, I get another unexpected piece of news--but this time it's good. I'm just about two months pregnant. I burst into bittersweet tears, feeling that this child is a blessing, but also knowing his/her father will never get to see him/her.
I stay strong, refusing to let myself go in the direction of depression. I love my children fiercely and would never let myself put anything before them, even if it was my own feelings. About seven months after I find out about my pregnancy, I give birth to a seemingly healthy baby boy. I name him Nicholas William Landon. As I hold my newborn close, crying with joy and with sorrow that my husband couldn't be here, the doctors check the baby's vitals. He is crying like a normal baby, and opening his eyes, but something seemed different.
After a further examination, it appears that Nick is blind. I feel awful, as it was my fault for not having a safer pregnancy, though the doctors assure me there was nothing I could have done about it. It had something to do with genetics, and I remember one of my uncles was born blind. I still love Nick to the moon and back regardless, and my other children do too, though they become fiercely protective of him, as I suspect they will be for the rest of their lives. It warms my heart to see how much the siblings love each other--that they really appreciate those they have because they know how quickly someone can be gone, even at their young ages.
I love my family. Aiden has grown into a responsible, eager little gentleman, and Catherine always has a smile on her face. While I adored my new life as a mother, I often felt like a single parent with Nick away so often. While I had my parents so close by to support me, I missed my husband dearly.
One day, I received a horrifying letter in the mail - my husband died in combat. I was devastated. Nick's parents flew in from their home in North Carolina, and we had a funeral for him - Nicholas Urban Blair, deceased at age 31. My friends and family gathered around to support me and my children, but I still felt depressed and lost without Nick.
Just a week after Nick's funeral, I discovered I was pregnant. I immediately burst into tears. I felt overjoyed to have a baby in my womb, providing me feelings of warmth and hope for the future, but I also felt melancholy knowing that Nick would never meet this child, and he or she would never meet Nick.
Seven months later, I gave birth to a seemingly healthy baby boy. I hugged him to my chest, tears pouring down my face, feeling so relieved to have this little miracle with me to alleviate the pain of my husband's passing. But the doctors seemed concerned. They ran test after test on my son, finally confirming that he was born blind. I felt a wave of guilt rush over me and cursed myself for not being more careful, more health-conscious while pregnant. The doctors assured me that my son's blindness was purely genetic, and I recalled my late uncle who had been blind.
I vowed to protect my son with every fiber of my being. Aiden and Catherine seemed to pick up on my overly cautious demeanor towards their youngest brother and adopted a similarly protective attitude towards him. Their love and devotion to him helped me remain strong, and reminded me of how lucky I was to have three beautiful blessings in my life.
Four years later James is serving his third tour of duty when I recieve the most devastating news that a wife can ever imagine. I learn that my husband was killed in the line of duty only a week after arriving on the front lines. I know I have to be strong for my children but it is so hard for me to carry on without my other half.
And then, something unbelievable happens when I discover that I am 8 weeks pregnant. It is hard for me to find joy in such a wonderful thing when I know I wont have James there with me to meet our third child.
A week before my due date, I give birth to a baby boy named William James Paige. He is born with beautiful blue eyes and a healthy set of lungs but instantly I know something isn't quite right. After further examination I am told that little William was born blind due to a recessive gene in my family. This is tough news for us to hear but it does not change how much we love Will and it makes Avery and Elliot even more protective of their little brother.
