So, not really from the up coming U.S. holiday, but I recently was inspired by the female first name: Independence. On the sample birth announcement (where I saw it) the nn was "Indie" soooo cute!
What do you think of the name?
What mns go well?
What about coordinating sib names?

Thanks guys! :)

To be honest I think it's a bit too much, but I do like the nn Indy.

I'm not a fan, to be honest. I agree with the above poster that it seems a bit much.

But Indie is a cute nickname and there are names like India and Indigo that go well with that nn :)

I think the nickname 'Indie' is super cute; however, I'm not a fan of Independence.

Reminds me of the name Americus from the movie 'Where the Heart Is'. Cute character...but can't say the same for the name itself.

Some names are better left untouched..er, 'un-named'.

Funny enough, I have been thinking about the name Indigo "Indie" today :) I love that. But Independence is a bit much to me.

Thanks, Ladies! <3

I found it somewhat difficult to see on a little girl, but thought I would see what everybody else thought.
I will probably add it to my GP or Horse name list... that would be cute!

XOXO

I could see a horse named Independence, that would be nice :) As for full names for Indy I like Indigo, India, and Indiana, but I'm sure there are more out there :)
