We need help!! My mom is putting a LOT of pressure on my hubby and I to name our baby after her. She adopted my brother and I as young kids and uses that as her reasoning... "I never got to name a baby and it would be nice to have a baby named after me."

Rose is her middle name. Brianne is mine. Hubby prefers the mine over hers but we don't want to hurt her feelings. Please HELP!!

Charlotte Rose or Charlotte Breanna

You could always do a variation of her name?

Using her initial or a name similar to hers? Either phonetically or in style.

Or simply a name she loves? You can use books etc. as ideas.

If you don't really like the idea though, I would suggest refusing and going with a name you really love rather than using hers just to please her.

At the end of the day, she'll love your child no matter their name and although it could be a nice idea to honour her, if she helps and you can find a name that you love and everyone agrees on, then it's a win-win.

Remember it's your child and ultimately your decision.

It's really too bad you're feeling pressured. It always seems to make the thing being pushed feel less desirable. In the end I'm sure you and your hubby will make the perfect choice!

Charlotte Rose
Charlotte Brianne
Charlotte Brianna Rose
Charlotte Brielle
Charlotte Briella Rose
Charlotte Anna Rose
Charlotte Roseanna
Charlotte Rosabelle
Charlotte Rosabella
Charlotte Rosella

Another way to honour her name without being limited to Rose is to pick another flower name or one that has something to do with flowers/plants/roses

Charlotte Ayana/Ayanna (beautiful blossom)
Charlotte Audra
Charlotte Briar
Charlotte Briony
Charlotte Linnea
Charlotte Azalea
Charlotte Iris
Charlotte Dahlia
Charlotte Acacia
Charlotte Lily
Charlotte Ivy
Charlotte Holly
Charlotte Hazel
Charlotte Sage
Charlotte Jasmine
Charlotte Elodie
Charlotte Heather

More quirky...
Charlotte Blossom
Charlotte Petal
Charlotte Poppy

Good luck!

I just re-read your post and noticed the Charlotte Rose or Charlotte Breanna part at the bottom. Sorry!

Out of the two I think Charlotte Rose sounds nicer. Not knowing your last name, and basing it on just the first and middle name, Charlotte Brianne is a little nicer than Charlotte Brianna. Charlotte Brianna Rose would be gorgeous and would honour both you and your mom. Overall that one would have my vote! Just my thoughts :)

Charlotte Rose is nicer IMO, but it sounds similar to the clothing store, Charlotte Russe. Rose is overdone as a middle name, anyway. What about Charlotte Rosalie?

At the end of the day, it is your child, and you need to do what you feel best doing.

Charlotte Rose is very pretty, I will admit, and I do prefer it.

I don't know if this has already been suggested, but how about Charlotte Rosalie? :-)

I like Charlotte Rose more than Charlotte Breanna :)

Combos:

Charlotte Rosanna
Charlotte Rosalie (not really a combo but I love this suggestion)

Have you ever though of doing a double middle name? It would please your mom and also get the name you like.

Charlotte Breanna Rose
