I went to visit my granddaddy in the hospital last night and somehow we got on the subject of names...so we started going through some of the names of my grandmother's (mom's side) siblings (There were 14 total  ) And a reminder...a lot of these names are not attractive at all lol. Keep in mind my grandma was raised in War, WV on a mountain...so it's pretty country! Hahah :P

I'm not sure about the order...but here goes!
Nina (pron. Nye-nuh) Joyce
Wanda Lou (pron. "Loo")
Carson Lee
Retha Carol (my grandma)
Loretta Sue
James Robert
Terry Franklin
Larry Allen
Lewis Dale (Lois Gail's twin brother)
Lois Gail (Lewis Dale's twin sister)
Michael Dean

Died shortly after birth...
Lila Ann
Bruce (not sure about the middle name)
-one more but I forgot his/her name-

And my daddy's side (all, not just siblings)...
Emory Hampton
Emory Dale
Annie Elliott
Mable Jean
Marjorie Louise
Charles Brantley
Karen Louise
Danny Steven
Brantley James
Bud Allen
Robin Faye-Louise
Emily Faye
Thomas Shane
Chasity Lynn
Lindsey Erin
Amber Janelle (half sister)
Kristie Lynn (half sister)

All I can think of for right now!

Hmmm interesting. I've only ever heard Nina pron as Nee-Nuh :) but I suppose it can be different depending the era and region.

For Wanda Lou..... My great grandmother was named Mary Lou.

If you want to see some more really old (and largely unattractive names) go Here. Its the topic about some names I've found in my tree from years back! I found names I'd NEVER heard of, some I actually liked quite a bit, others........not so much! :P
