Hubby and I both want to name our baby boy after our fathers. His father's name is Phillip and mine is Earl. How do we incorporate both names into a decent name for our little boy?

Well the most obvious thing to do is use both as first and middle names:

Earl Phillip(s)
Phillip Earl

If you don't like these names together you could try compromising for similar names like Alexander, Paul, Patrick

Theres also
Philippe: the French form of Phillip, pronounced (Fee-Leep)
Felipe: Spanish form of Phillip, pronounced (fe-LEE-pe)

How about these:

Phillip Earl
Earl Phillip
Arlip (Are-lip)
Phineal (Fin-ee-al)

What do you think? I also think Pearl would be great if you wanted to save this name combo for a little girl. Good luck! :)

My recommendation is Connor Padraic or Connor Patrick, because ...

Phillip means "lover of horses"; Earl means "pledge" or "nobleman."

Connor means "lover"; Padraic means "nobleman" and Patrick means "noble."

I think Phillip Earl is best. Earl is such an older name that if you call the child "Earl" they'd never hear the end of it.. Just picture what you would call your child.
