I was watching Parental Control a while back and one of the girls names was Monet. I liked the name and decided to us it for a character. What do you guys think of the name Monet for a girl? What would be a good middle name?

It's nice. It'd make a sweet middle name -- though, not necessarily something I'd use.

AND, I of course love thinking of baby names even though that is a VERY far in the future thing for me because I'm still young!

For the longest time I was dead-set on naming my first little girl Sydney Monet; but now, I'm not sure how I feel about the name. If there wasn't the association with Claude Monet, then I think it would sound very sweet and feminine, but when you think about it like that, it's hard to picture on a sweet little girl.

I think it depends on what the other siblings are named because it could actually be neat to have the art connection in my opinion. I don't think I would use it myself--but I think it could be really neat for, like, a book character. Maybe the parents are very artsy and they somehow incorporate artist names in all of their children's names

That's a good idea.
