What do you think of the name Lybi? And how would you pronounce it? I was on a website months ago and came across it and I have loved it ever since. They way I pronounce it is just like "Libby" and if I were to ever use it, that is probably how I would pronounce it, but I think this spelling looks a lot sweeter than that spelling and makes it look like a proper name and not a nicname.

What are some suggestions for some middle names? So far, my favourite is Lybi Rose.

I think I prefer the spelling Libby. I have a great-Aunt Libby. I think its a nice name but I dont think changing the spelling to Lybi makes it look more substantial...the opposite actually it makes it look incomplete. Maybe spelling it Lybie would be better.

My first thought would be like Libby. Though I have to agree (wow, I just forgot how to spell agree! :D thank god for spellcheck! :P )... lol, but I also think Lybi looks incomplete. I can see how it is cute, but Lybie definitely looks fuller. But then again, I still think it looks like a nick name :P

Though, I do like these combos of yours!
~ Lybi Rose
~ Lybi Nicole
~ Lybi Simone

Here's a couple more suggestions:
~ Lybi Annelise
~ Lybi Ulyssa
~ Lybi Cadence
~ Lybi Kate
~ Lybi Allison
~ Lybi Natalia
~ Lybi Honora/Nora
~ Lybi Grace

Hope this helps!

Thanks for all your replies.

Now you all have me thinking. I am pretty sure that the pronunciation is definitely like Libby, so I don't think I have to think about that anymore :P

I did think about spelling it Lybie, but I am just not sure. I just really like Lybi :D I will have to think more about it.

I love Lybi Annelise and Lybi Natalia.

Thanks again!

I've never thought of Libby as a full name. I only see it as a nickname for a fuller name like Liberty or Elizabeth. I couldn't picture an adult with this name. And the spellings Lybi and Lybie don't look appealing to me. For some reason, it looks very awkward in my opinion.

Libby is my favorite nickname for Elizabeth, but I don't think any spelling of it sounds like a complete name. Lybi especially looks incomplete..

Lybi Jade and Lybi Nicole both sound really nice though!

What about using it as a middle name?

I was thinking Mariana Lybi?
