I love the name Juno, I think it's gorgoeus! And I think June-bug would be an adorable nn!

but,

I keep wondering if people will think of the movie, Juno, and maybe leave a bad impression on her? Alyssa told me she thought the same thing, but I'd like to see what everyone thought. Cause I would so love to be able to have this as more of a guilty pleasure, then seek out a good mn! I've thought of Junia nn Juno, which I like, but its not the same. . . I so apprechiate everyones opinions, even if its just a vote!!! I really dont wanna give my future kid a bad name. . . :(

I think if you really love the name, you should use it regardless of what other people think. I think in the near future it would be associated with Juno (which I don't necessarily think is a bad thing---I quite liked the movie and Juno's character. I think she's a great role model for handling an unexpected teenage pregnancy), but I actually associate the name with the Roman goddess Juno (goddess of marriage and queen of the gods). You could just tell people you got the name from mythology, not the movie.

So I think its really up to you...

Not really, actually. Just June seems a little to plain to my taste, lol :P But, I think I'll do that. Associating with the Roman Goddess of Marriage and queen of the gods, cause thats pretty cool! And thinking of it in that form of way, I do think Juno is a pretty good role model. She does handle that pretty well!

Thanks Rose, that makes me feel better about using the name :))))

Yes.
Although, I usually like names on a combo by combo basis, if that makes any sense?

I like Juno! Every time I hear it, it grows on me.

I agree with Rose. If you love it, go for it! Don't worry that people will associate her with a character on a movie kids won't know about by the time you have children! You have plenty of time to decide if it's a name you want to use. Keep it on your list though. :)

Thanks for all the opinions!!! I'll most definately keep it as a guilty pleasure, if not an "actual" name. I'll have to see what future hubby thinks ;) ~Had

I have nothing against the movie (I actually rather liked it), and I know it's a biblical name...

But Juno makes me think of a dinasaur. Sorry.

*just ignore me*

I actually really like Juno. Granted, it was after the movie came out, but that's not the reason why I like the name. I think it sounds really nice and the fact that she's a Goddess is even better. I don't like June or Juniper at all. I think Juno is much better
