Are Eli and Ayla too similar for siblings? What is a good middle name for Ayla, preferably starting with an S? Our last name has two syllables (as does Ayla) so I prefer to stay away from two syllable middle names because I don't think it sounds as good. So far, my favorites are Ayla Sophia, Ayla Shoshanna, or Ayla Sabrina. Which sounds best? Other ideas?

Hmm here's a bunch of middles. I prefer both first name and middle name to end in different sounds so they don't sound too rhymey together, but that's just my personal quirk.

(Though I like Ayla Sophie.. if you don't want a middle name that's also two syllables, Sophia works)

Ayla Vivienne

Ayla Juliet
Ayla Eve
Ayla Rosalind

Ayla Maude

Ayla Ruth

Ayla Maeve

Ayla Felicity

Ayla Wren

Ayla Jennifer

Ayla Miriam

Ayla Genevieve

Ayla Katherine

Ayla Rose
Ayla Deirdre

Ayla Madeline
Ayla Greer
Ayla Josephine
Ayla Kate
Ayla Carolyn
Ayla Madison

Ayla Francesca

Ayla Natalie

Ayla Trinity

Ayla Juniper

Ayla Margaret

Ayla Bethany

Ayla Cassidy

Ayla Naomi

Ayla Evangeline

Ayla Olivia

Ayla Kennedy

Ayla Jacqueline

Ayla Rosemary
Ayla Quinn

Ayla Beatrice

Ayla Meredith

Also, I do feel that Eli and Ayla are too close for siblings. Like Madeline and Madison. Similar sounds.

Ayla is pretty, though it's quite similar to Eli. I would stick Ayla with a mn that doesn't end in an a.

Ayla Simone
Ayla Suzanne
Ayla Siobhan
Ayla Séraphine
Ayla Stephanie

I don't think they are too similar at all!

And here are some middle name suggestions, that are not 2 sylables
Ayla Seraphine
Ayla Serenity

I'm having trouble thinking of names that start with S, and don't end with A.

Ayla Sophia does sounds good though.

I think they are very similar and it may cause confusion. They are different enough where you could still get away with naming them that, but I think it would be best to use one as a middle name, eg Eli Lucas and Lauren Ayla or Lucas Eli and Ayla Lauren

I love Ayla Saraphine! And no, they aren't too similar, but I would suggest making Ayla the middle name. How about Sandy Ayla?
