I came across this name will looking at the actors for Pushing Daisies. The little girl's name who played Olive, her name was Ellery. EL-er-ee. I thought it was a pretty name, but I guess it was a male name as well. Ellery Queen was a detective book series in the 30's. At least to my understanding.

So, WDYT of the name? And does it fit better for a boy or girl?

I quite like the name Ellery and it has been on my list forever, but I go back and forth on it.

I think it best suited for a girl, but suppose it could work for either. Paired with the right middle name, it would go great for a boy.

That does look more masculine. I like Ellery, but I'm not a fan of the spelling. I was thinking more like Ellarie, Elarie, or Elerie to make it more feminine. I'm liking Ellarie Jayne for a girl's name.

I like it okay, not really my type but not bad by any means... I think it would be a great on a girl. Ellarie Jayne would be awesome, I really like that spelling.

Good luck! :)
