Hello I am Aleksandr and me and my wife need some help naming our son. We are both young at the age of 22 and this will be our first child. I am Russian and she is Italian, and we are moving to the United States. We want a name that fits my Russian nationality, that fits her Italian nationality, and that does not sound too foreign for American people.

We have come down to a few names we like, but others will be welcome.

Cyrus

Those are the names, the middle name is Aleksandrovich

Thanks for the help.

I really really like Cyrus Aleksandrovich

I'm not sure about what names are popular in Russia or Italy but I'll suggest some names from both sides, according to nameberry.

My suggestion is use a first name that maybe favors the Italian side a little more since the middle name is Russian.

Damien Aleksandrovich

Dante/Donte Aleksandrovich

Emiliano Aleksandrovich

Enzo/Ezra Aleksandrovich

Gianni/Giovanni Aleksandrovich

Ivan Aleksandrovich

Leonardo "Leo" Aleksandrovich (The nickname Leo would make it more "American")

Luca Aleksandrovich

Marco Aleksandrovich

Matteo Aleksandrovich

Maximo/Maxim Aleksandrovich

Orlando Aleksandrovich

Salvatore Aleksandrovich ~I really like this name, though not sure about the length/flow

Sergio Aleksandrovich ~I feel like this is another one to consider

Good luck and best wishes.

I like the idea of choosing an Italian name in the first name position since Americans find Italian names easier to pronounce and spell.

I would go with Cyrus, Luca or Leon....

The other names you listed in your initial post are either considered female names in America or a few of them I am quite confused on how they would be pronounced. Good Luck and I hope you enjoy it here :)
