I've already begun to write a story that features a three generation (small) family living on their farm. I've already established all of their first names and ages, but for story telling purposes, I need to think up middle names--- but boy, is it tough!

Last Name: Miller
Grandfather: Ezekiel (63)
Grandmother: Adelaide (58)
Father: Henry (39)
Mother: Mabel (38)
Daughter: Heather (18)
Son: Samuel (17)
Daughter: Ruth (10)

These are some names I have thought of.. but I'm not sure how well they flow...
Ezekiel Moses
Adelaide Rose
Henry Christopher
Mabel Elizabeth
Heather Anne
Samuel Caleb
Ruth Esther

Opinions, thoughts, suggestions? Full names are essential to this plot line... so I really want them to be perfect!
Thanks in advance.

I like all your ideas for middle names! The names flow so perfectly together. They are all unique, but they have a sort of unifying element so you can tell they are family. Good luck with your writing!

Well, the names and surnames are quite.... unique. are they supposed to be old fashioned, if yes, then great!

The names you've come up with work really well together. I agree with Meghan about them all having a unifying theme. The only thing that jumped out at me was Heather Anne. It's a nice name, but Heather seems too modern when put next to to the other names in the family. A name like Helen or Hope would fit better. (This is just my opinion. If you like Heather better, go for it!)

And just out of curiousity, when does this story take place? Is it present day or sometime in the past? The names are very old-fashioned, and I was just wondering.

I wouldn't have called the youngest daughter Ruth...in my opinion. But I like the name Esther and I think it goes great with Ruth.
