So I'm not pregnant, but I love to think of names for future kids.
Right now, I'm positive if I were to get pregnant, I would use either Emmeline Carys {Middle name debatable}|Grace Isobel or Thomas Luke/Noah Alexander.

But I would love to honour my mum by naming a daughter {If I were to ever have one} after her.
Her name is Andrea Simone Marie-Louise.
So I have options.. but I would preferably want to use Andrea.
I, for the life of me, cannot think of a name that it works with though!

I figured that using Emmeline {I adore it} also worked because in a way it could honour my twin sister and two best friends {daniELle, MELissa & daniEL}

I love names like Madeleine, Juliette, Noelle, Piper, Alice, Celeste, Claire, Thea, Emily, Freja, Sophia, Helena, Georgina, Evie, Corinne, Briar, Lorelai, Elisabeth, Elodie, Imogen, Lea, Ivy, Julianne, Mary, Selena, Quinn, Alexandra, Peyton, Scarlett, Rose, Victoire, Adrienne, Reese, Phoebe, Holly, Keira, Lucille, Isla, Violet, Lenore, Mathilda, Norah, Ophelia...

Any ideas what so ever guys?

The only one I remotely liked was Elisabeth Andrea..
But compared to Emmeline, I'm not sure Elisabeth seems as .. gorgeous? <3

Do you pronounce it on-DRAY-ah or AN-dree-ah? I know two girls named Andrea, and they both pronounce it differently. Knowing that might help making suggestions for combos. :)

By the way, I LOVE Emmeline Carys. Emmaline has always been a favorite of mine (I like the a spelling better, so I can use the nn Emma). And right now, I'm totally obsessed with Carys. I love it in the mn spot.

Lorelai Andrea is nice.

Since you like Alexandra ... what about Alexandrea to honor your mum?

Julianne Dreama/Drema (Andrea Simone Marie-Louise)
Julianne Dr____

Adrienne is similar enough that it could honor your mum.

Oh, how I dig Elisabeth!
Spot on classy, clean and strong. And I love the S instead of harsh, sibilant Z, it makes the whole thing more ethereal. I know, I'm a freak.
But really? What I would absolutely be smitten with... is the nickname Liesel. I just adore it!

And yeah, Elisabeth Andrea does sound nice! I have a strange pet peeve where I'm not really into both names starting with a vowel, but it's mainly me being my weird self, and I myself have broken that "rule" sometimes.
So it's all good.

And you are right, Elisabeth and Emmeline are definitely different.
I don't think Elisabeth is less gorgeous, it just has a completely different feel..
Granted, Emmeline is beautiful and sophisticated, and you know I love it, but it's got more potential to become an overused, glossy mainstream name.
Elisabeth will never get a "been there, done that" label, or that's my opinion.
I love them both equally though! :)

Emmeline has a special connection, which makes it more appealing to me.
But why aren't you considering Emmeline Andrea?
I think the flow is just as nice (:

And let me dig around in this list and see what I can pair up with your mum's name!

Juliet(te) Andrea
Madeleine Andrea
Piper Andrea
Briar Andrea {too many R's, perhaps?}
Lorelai Andrea {Tough I do not like Lorelai :ahem:}
Ivy Andrea
Scarlett Andrea
Rose Andrea
Phoebe Andrea
Lucille Andrea {the flow is a bit off here, but I just love Lucille nn. Lucy!}
Violet Andrea

I really like these! What do you think Spaz? Any of them stand out? (:

Mallory; we pronounce it either really.
When we speak French we'll pronounce it On-Dreh-ah, but English people {When we speak English}, seem to pronounce it An-dree-uh.

Katie, now that you point it out, Alexandria or Adrienne would be perfect!

And I love the sib-set of Emmeline & Alexandria.
Emmeline & Adrienne may be too close for my liking, but they're cute!

{Just in case you've been pronouncing it Em-eh-line.. I'm pronouncing it Em-eh|ah-lyn}

Naddie, I do love all your suggestions (;
Here's my problem, to me, they all sound better when I use Andrea as the first name!
Eeeek.

AndANDand. I love Lucille nn Lucy!
Isn't it just adorable?
It has a classic, elegant feel to it, but also a cute girly alternative!
Don't know if I could ever use it though...

I like Emmeline Andrea, but it bugs me that Emmeline ENDS with 'Lyn' and Andrea starts with 'Ann'..
Also, they have the same number of syllables which usually wouldn't bother me..
I don't know any more!!!

I'm being too picky.

Naddie, I do really like your combination of Scarlett Andrea & Phoebe Andrea. (;
What do you think of Emmeline & Scarlett OR Emmeline & Phoebe?
I think I'm leaning more towards Phoebe. :P

Here's some more combos I came up with, tell me what you think.

Lily Andrea {My first ever combo}
Carys Andrea
Zoe Andrea
Paris Andrea
Penelope Andrea
Catherine Andrea
Lainey Andrea
Sophie Andrea
Victoire Andrea
Poppy Andrea
Shelby Andrea
Cadence Andrea
Mary Andrea
{Mary is also my grandmother's name from my dad's side}
Evie Andrea

WHAT do you think of Alexandria Juliet? Maybe it's too long?
Alexandria Quinn? Alexandria Phoebe? Alexandria Sophie? Alexandria Jane? Alexandria Piper?

PS. .... I love the nickname JJ..
But I've not managed to make a combination of names I like.
I would love to use either Julianne or Juliette as first names.
And I've thought of using Julianne Jade {Jade is my best friend's middle name}..
Any suggestions? (;

& On another note, my other best friend's name is Farheen. :P {I call her Fuzzy}
So I've considered using Emmeline Fleur.
The only "F" names I like are Freja, Faith, Fiona & Fleur.
I also like Flavia & Francesca, but I doubt I'd be brave enough to use them!

I love the combo Freja Elisabeth & Fleur Genevieve.
But they don't GO with Emmeline Carys.
I want a name with potential nicknames.. y'know?

Sheesh. I'm picky. I'm SO sorry! :) <3

I've noticed that all of the combos seem to sound better when Andrea is pronounced On-dreh-ah/On-dray-uh.

Woah.. essay.....

I think Grace Andrea would be darling! :)

I also think Elisabeth Andrea would be sooo pretty! <3

But if Emmeline is your absolute favorite name, and Carys is debatable, why not use Andrea here? It may be a bit of a lot of syllables, but still cute! You could even use a double middle name or something, to help the flow out... Emmeline Andrea Rose, Emmeline Violet Andrea, etc. :P

I do like Katie's idea though, of using Alexandrea/Alexandria to honor your mum! It's really cute, and such a nice way to honor your mom! She would have your mothers name in her first name (which is a pretty big honor, I'd think) yet still have a distinguishable first name of her own, and cute nick name options!

I think these names of your list would also sound beautiful:

Piper Andrea
Brier Andrea (these two might be a little R heavy though... <3)
Ivy Andrea
Phoebe Andrea
Scarlett Andrea
Violet Andrea
Mary Andrea
Reese Andrea (flows super good! :wub:)

Hope I helped a bit :P

I'm really starting to love Alexandria & Emmeline as a sib-set!
(;

And I adore how it has Andrea in it!
So I guess if I can come up with a nice middle name for it, it'll be bumped up to first or second place! :) <3
