When DH and DW's children are 7, 5, and 3, DW is diagnosed with terminal cancer.  It's a rough year and a half for the family as DH brings the kids to visit their mom in the hospital and tries to explain why she can't live at home with them.  After fighting for almost two years, DW passed away.
