I've been loving double names lately, or at least when they go by their first and middle names. I generally dislike it on boys, but I like it on girls. Maybe because I have a double name?

I think with some names it works, others it really clashes, it just depends on the name.

I've found myself loving Anna Jane / Anna-Jane lately.

I'm wondering your thoughts on double names and what you think is better; two names together (eg. Annabeth), two names hyphenated (eg. Ella-Mae), or going by first and middle (eg. Emma Joy). Also, what are some double names you like?

Double names can be iffy but I think it goes well and has the right flow it could totally work. LIke Anna Jane, it works well and sounds very pretty. :)

I think it all really depends if the names flow together like I mentioned or if they both strongly support each other it could work.

For double names, I prefer a first and middle name together. Some I like...

Anna Reese (heard this on a little girl lately and it just sounded adorable!)
Chloe Jane
Ella Jean
Ella Rose
Hannah Kate
Molly Beth
Sarah Beth

The only double names I've ever felt some affinity for were Anna Grace and Anna Beth. Anna just seems to lend itself to it, lol. Other than that I'm just neutral - probably because my family had tons of them a generation ago, so I'm always hearing them.

I kind of like double names, although I'm really not sure where I stand tbh.

I love Annabeth, but as one name not two, and I've never really met anyone who went by two names.

Then again, I used to love Ainsley-Rae and Halsey-Kai for girls, so IDK what happened lol. Not sure I could use those names now!

I also used to love Amelia Mae nn Mia Mae for a girl, which is kinda cute, just not sure I'd use it anymore.

I generally prefer it for girls as well.

It depends on the name. For example, Annabeth and Annabel/Annabelle would be better than Anna Beth and Anna Belle, but again it depends on the name.

I'm not generally a fan of hyphenated names. It just seems unnecessary to me.

I honestly can't think of any double names I really like, but I'm sure there are some out there. Mae as the second name is usually really cute. Same with Joy, Jane, Belle, other short names.
