Okay, so I love Scarlett. The only thing that was deterring me from it was that I couldn't find a cute nickname and I really dislike the idea of using Scar.
But, I think I may have found a couple of ideas.

I did essentially want a one syllable nickname, but Scar is the only one that seems to work. :)

I know that not every name needs a nickname and if I plan to use Scarlett [Or one of the nicknames] I should just name her that.
But that's my own personal taste.

What do you ladies think?

I loooooove Scarlett!! And Ari and Lottie are cute nick names that I really like!! Though, I must admit I just don't see most nick names working with Scarlett personally :) Personally, as much as I adore nick names, I guess I just don't see nick names working with Scarlett. In the same way that Noah, Sebastian, Willow, and Nora all don't really work well with nick names :( but that is just my personal view! <3 I do think that generalized nick names would be perfect though, Cupcake or Sweetie or all <3

To be honest, thats one of the reasons that Charlotte beat Scarlett for me <3 I do adore Scarlett, but I just don't personally see nick name potential! </3 I do love it in whole though, so darn beautiful and romantic! :( And as I said above, if I were to chose a nick name for it Ari and Lottie are adorable!!

I think Scarlett is really pretty on its own. I love the name :)

But Carly is a cute nn. And Lottie too.

My problem with Scarlett is that I know it'll get shortened to "Scar" and I REALLY dislike that for some reason.
Could I use Lottie for Scarlett? Or is Lettie more appropriate? [Dislike Lettie, makes me think of Lettuce...] :)
Haddie, I would shorten Sebastian to Seb or Bastian and Willow to Lo. But that's me... Noah and Nora I agree with you on though. The thing is, they also LOOK much shorter. I know Scarlett and Nora have the same syllables, but Scarlett feels much longer to me. And it's my instinct to want to shorten it.

That's pretty much the reason that Charlotte wins out. But it's much softer and more childish than Scarlett.. OH I don't know any more.

I suppose I'll have to keep it for a middle name.

Thanks ladies!
