Twin girls coming in January, Need help with names.

Our last name is Brown.

Gemma (for sure)

Jules or Julia (which one do you like better?)

I kind of like Gemma Madelyn, but cant think of any that names I love with Jules or Julia.

Please help. I am going nuts. Husband doesn't care.

I think both combinations would work nicely.   My only thought is that Gemma & Jules sounds like Gemma & Jewels and it might seem like you were going for a theme with Gem & Jewel (which isn't a bad thing).  However, if you wanted to get away from that, Gemma & Julia would be further away from that sound.

I think Gemma Madelyn is lovely.  I'll try to come up with some other combos later.

Thank you KatieB

I did one of the polls on the site and got some good ideas. Gemma Madelyn is pretty much for sure. Gemma is my grandmothers name, and I have always wanted to name a daughter Gemma. Glad it sounds ok with my last name. Haha

I was reading a bunch of stuff on here last night and I found the name Jillian that i like a lot.

So now I am trying to think of middle names for Jillian and for Julia

Ooo! I adore Jillian!  However, Gemma & Jillian are a bit similar since both start with the same JIH sound, where as Julia has the different JUE sound.  However, that isn't necessiarily a bad thing if you want the twins names to match.  I think Gemma & Jillian would be different enough to work.  Since Gemma is a family name, are there any other family names you might use in the middle name spot for the other twin?

Here are a few suggestions for Jillian & Julia...

Gemma Madelyn & ...

Jillian Mackenzie

Jillian Rebecca

Jillian Delilah

Jillian Felicity

Jillian Ivy

Jillian Nora(h)

Jillian Piper

Julia Claire

Julia Quinn

Julia Grace

Julia Simone

Thats so funny. I had Jillian Mackenzie on my list. I also kind of like Jillian Michelle (which is a family name)\

I kind of want the matchy names. Not rhyming, but sounding similar. If the babies were boys I totally wouldnt go that route, but I think with girls its ok :)

Family names:

Grandmas are Gemma, Lois, Janet & Christina

Great Aunts/cousins are: Emma, Suzette, Kimberly, Rosalie, Paige, Mari, Audri, and Michelle.

On my lists I have:

Gemma Madelyn for sure (pretty much)

Jillian Mackenzie

Jillian Elizabeth

Jillian Michelle (too many Ls?)

Jillian Piper - just added that from your suggestion

Julia Suzette (family name)

Julia Danielle

Julia Grace - just added that from your suggestion

Keep suggestions coming. You have already helped so much!

Jules is a cute nickname for Julia, but I don't think it works as a girl's name on its own. Gemma Madelyn is nice.

Julia Betrys

Julia Carmen

Julia Desiree

Julia Francine

Julia Hope

Julia Katherine

Julia Margo

Julia Noreen

Julia Pearl

Julia Seren

Julia Winifred

Jillian Sarah

Jillian Hazel

Jillian Isadora

Jillian Laura

Jillian Rosa

Jillian Veronica
