We are expecting a little girl in 2 weeks and need some advice. We have a daughter Cecilia Rose and we are thinking of naming the new baby Aurelia Violet, pronounced Au-Ray-Lia. Are Cecilia and Aurelia too similar or too cutesy together? We are not intending for them to rhyme. Other options we are considering are Josephine Lily or Madeleine Violet.

I think both Josephine and Madeleine might work better with Cecilia. It bothers me a little that they're both four syllables and end in the same way.

I think Aurelia is lovely, but unfortunately too close to Cecilia (which I adore, by the way!). I think Josephine Lily and Madeline Violet are lovely. If you really want to use Aurelia, maybe use it in the middle spot? Violet Aurelia maybe?

Cecilia and Aurelia are definitely too similar, especially if you pronounce Aurelia (uh REEL ee ah). Josephine Lily and Madeleine Violet are both fabulous, though.

I love Aurelia, but if you want a similar name that doesn't ring to close to Cecilia maybe Aurora could work?

Aurelia and Cecilia are too similar, especially since I can guarantee a lot of people will want to pronounce it "uh REEL ee ah." Aurora or Azalea, maybe?
