It seems like there's been a baby boom at my school recently--three teachers have recently welcomed their little ones into the world, and I must admit, with the trendy names people have been daring to use nowadays, I was a little scared to see what sort of names they would come up with.

Here are the names:
Brady Joseph
Olivia Rose
Grace Elizabeth

Not trendy (thank goodness!), but not terribly interesting either. Nevertheless, I think they're nice names. I'm quite partial to Brady, and Olivia Rose is gorgeous, despite it's popularity and predictability. Grace is a beautiful name, and its nice to see it used as a first name instead of a middle name.

So what do you think? What other baby names have you heard recently?

I quite like all of them, but some of the names are overly used / too common.

My cousin has decided to name his baby either Carter James or Madison Elizabeth, depending on the sex. I think they are both quite adorable. Especially Carter James.

Yeah, you say James is too common a middle name or overly used, but is in honor of his my uncle, my cousios dad, who comitted suicide earlier this year. As for Madison, I have tried to talk him and his girlfriend out of using it, as it is WAY too popular right now, but hey, it could be worse and they may end up changing the Madison part. As for Elizabeth, I LOVE, LOVE it!

My math teacher just had a baby named Ryan O'Rourke. Last year my science teacher had a boy who she named Ryan Chadwick. A geo teacher at my school is having a girl, who she is planning to name Alyssa Jayne Norberg, and my grade eight gym teacher just had a girl named Carleigh Grace Rolland.

I like Grace Elizabeth; Grace seems less "filler-ish" used as a first name. I don't find Olivia Rose terribly interesting, due to its popularity, but I suppose it's also nice. The most recent name I've heard is that of my computer class teacher's baby, a girl who was named either Leia Rose or Bianca Rose (I'm not clear on what she decided).

Wow, Tara! Five pregnant girls?

I only know of one girl at school who was pregnant, and she just had her baby, a little boy named Jordan. I'm not sure what she picked for the middle name.

I think there's about thirty girls at my school who are either pregnant or already have a child (or children).

But, that's out of 2,500 kids.

AND, I of course love thinking of baby names even though that is a VERY far in the future thing for me because I'm still young!

My Honors English teacher is 6 months along with a baby boy. She decided to tell us what they were going to name him, and they decided on Joshua Lawrence. Lawrence is after he husband's dad who is rapidly declining in health, so that part I understand, however I'm not too sure on Joshua. I feel it's a little bit dated, but as a whole I think it's a handsome, strong name.
