Calloway - This is nice, but too surnamey for me. It's very Irish sounding too, so could be a problem if your heritage is different. Calloway James, Calloway Jude, Calloway Ivan, Calloway Scott, Calloway Luke, Calloway Noah, Calloway Michael, Calloway Blake, Calloway Drake, Calloway Sean, or Calloway Tate?
Flynn - I totally adore Flynn, but I actually prefer it on a girl (crazy right?) Flynn Isaiah, Flynn Josiah, Flynn Oscar, Flynn Peter, Flynn Everett, Flynn Garrett, Flynn Samuel, Flynn Tobias, Flynn Carter, Flynn Cooper, or Flynn Dashiell?
Heath - Handsome! One of my favourite nature names for boys. Heath Benjamin, Heath Noah, Heath Wiley, Heath Gregory, Heath Jeffrey, Heath Dominic, Heath Skyler, Heath Finley, Heath Merrick, Heath Jameson, Heath Aaron, or Heath Carson?
Hector - I love Hector! Hector Michael, Hector James, Hector Louie, Hector Andrew, Hector Nathan, Hector Kevin, Hector Lyle, Hector Paul, Hector Daniel, Hector Paris, Hector Grey, Hector Jay, Hector Levi, Hector Ashton, or Hector Robert?
Kieran - Not a fan of Kieran. Kieran Sky, Kieran Jay, Kieran Lowell, Kieran Tate, Kieran Oscar, Kieran Isaiah, Kieran Gabriel, Kieran Vance, Kieran Drake, Kieran Samuel, Kieran Thomas, Kieran Emmett, Kieran Xavier, Kieran Quinn, or Kieran Ray?
Lewis - It's not my favourite, but I like it because it has family significance for me. Lewis Bowen, Lewis Rogan, Lewis Matthew, Lewis Daniel, Lewis Andrew, Lewis Victor, Lewis Peter, Lewis Cooper, Lewis Wyatt, Lewis Noah, Lewis Jasper, or Lewis Carter?
Robin - This is handsome! I much prefer it over Robert. Robin Isaiah, Robin Josiah, Robin Jeffrey, Robin George, Robin Michael, Robin Lucas, Robin Henry, Robin James, Robin Levi, Robin Asher, or Robin Gabriel?
Wade - This is meh for me. It reminds me of a boy I had college with, but that's not a bad association. Wade Gideon, Wade Rafferty, Wade Emory, Wade Brogan, Wade Silas, Wade Linus, Wade Fisher, Wade Asher, Wade Bentley, or Wade Alexander?
1. I love the name Paris for a boy, ever since I took a mythology class and studied the story of Helen of Troy (which is also where I got Hector.) I'm not sure how popular Paris is for a girl; I've only ever heard it on Paris Hilton. Is it usable for a boy? - I love Paris on a boy! I think it's totally useable, especially because of the Paris of Troy reference. I'm not a fan of it on a girl tbh, it just feels trashy to me on a girl, but I really really like it for a boy.
2. Keeping with the mythology theme, what about Atlas? I love it, and it sort of goes along with the whole Roman trend, I think. Could an Atlas fit in with Magnus, Cyrus, and Atticus? Also, could Septimus nn Sep work, or is that way too much? - I think that Atlas could definitely work, it fits in with the trends. I'm not sure about Septimus, although I do love it, it might be better as a middle name.
3. I already know the answer to this one, but my love of the name obligates me to ask. I love Ashley on a boy, and the nn Ash. Even though I know it's lost to the girls, I have to ask if you think a boy could pull of Ashley? - I actually know a couple of boys named Ashley, and I think it works so much better on a boy than a girl. I don't think it's lost to the girls at all, so if you love it, use it!
4. I also really like Darcy, ever since I read Pride and Prejudice sophomore year. Is Darcy too feminine for a boy? - Unfortunately, despite my deep love for Mr Darcy, I have to say that I think Darcy is probably too feminine for a boy to pull off. The only Darcys I know of are female (Darcey Bussell & Baby Glitter), so that solidifies the name as female for me.
5. Another name that most people think is girls-only that I like for a boy is Wren. As far as I know, it's not super popular. Is it okay on a boy or have the girls taken this one too? - I think Wren could work on a boy, but it is very firmly associated with girls in my mind.
6. I've recently started warming up to the nn Andy. It's relaxed and familiar, but not crazy popular these days. Only problem is that I'm not crazy about Andrew. Are there any other names that could lead to the nn Andy? - I'm not a fan of Andy, or Andrew actually, but both honour family for me. What about Anders, Anderson, Andre, Andreas, or Andrei.
