I was always very indifferent to the name Samuel, and swore I would never have a kid named "Sam".

Well, that changed!

I love it to death <3

It helps that I have a guy who is basically my older brother who I literally tell everything to named Sam.

I would love to honor him with the name!

I'm really into honoring names at the moment...

I love Wilson Samuel <3 or Whitman Samuel<3

ANYWAY. What do you think of the name Samuel? Too... common? or is there a name I could pair it with to spice it up?

Thanks!

LOVE the name Samuel, hence the fact that we are using it for baby #2! I believe that the name is not as popular as some people think it is. It's one of those names that is well-known yet not used as much. The way it rolls of the tongue just gives it a nice appeal, very handsome name. Samuel Rhys is the full name we are using.

Whitman Samuel is my favorite from your combos! Love it!

OMG, I LOVE Wilson Samuel!! I mean, I've loved Wilson a while. Its just to darn handsome.. and Samuel goes fabulous with it <3 The funny thing is, I prefer Sam to Samuel. Samuels a good name, I just know someone who's kinda gross with the name. But he never goes by Sam, so I don't have such negative feelings on Sam. I also love Sammy ^_^ But yes. I love Wilson Samuel. Whitman Samuel is definitely very handsome as well, but... yeah. Wilsonnnn

I don't think its too boring, but I'm not sure how I'd spice it up lol. Samuel Xavier? Samuel Finnegan? Samuel Gregoire? Hmm... <3

Hmm, depends how you say Samuel! Do you say it like sam-yule? Or sam-u-elle? I think as three syllables it would flow pretty well, but its iffy with two. Not horribly clashing craziness, but a little off.

Idk, what do you think of Samson? I'm not sure if I like Samson more than Samuel, but its another Sam variation. I've been considering Sam, but I'm unsure if it makes a good stand alone name :( Oh well!

I usually say "Sam-yule" though I think it flows nice with three syllables... I can't see myself actually giving my kid the given name of "Sam" though I kinda like the way "Sam Kyler" flows... Totes Adorbs (;.

Sam Kyler is really adorable! <3 Yeah, its too much a nick name, but still... Hm. I wish there were better full versions of Sam. I say Samuel the same way though <3 I know a set of parents that actually say Samuel will all three syllables but they're from another country lol. They're members of my mums church though! I think Russian.. hm.

I'm really coming around on Samuel. It's strong and masculine sounding, but soft as well
From your choices, I really like Wilson Samuel, very sophisticated!

Sam Kyler is also really handsome!

How about:
Samuel Kylan
Samuel Theodore
Samuel Cassius
Samuel Roman
Samuel Heath
Samuel Beau
Samuel Cody
Samuel Morgan
Samuel Wyatt
Samuel Jasper
Samuel Ryder
Samuel Weston (or Weston Samuel? <3)
Samuel Jude
Samuel Oliver
Samuel Jonah
Samuel Isaac
Samuel Eli
Samuel Micah
Samuel Levi (Levi Samuel?)
Samuel Asher
Samuel Ethan
Samuel Dawson
Samuel Gideon (Gideon Samuel?)

*I named as many biblical-style names as I could think...if I remember correctly, you like the biblical style? :)

I like:
Samuel Kylan
Samuel Weston (or Weston Samuel? <3)
Samuel Dawson
Samuel Gideon (Gideon Samuel?)

Weston Samuel is SUPER handsome <3

I'm a little bias to "Sam" given my name being Samantha and people call me Sam sometimes.

I use to want to go by my full name so that I could Samuel for a son. Now its a guilty pleasure because I'd never be able to use it. Not because of my name but because of the lovely fiance of mine, he's not a fan of it.

I love Wilson Samuel <3 or Whitman Samuel<3

Wilson Samuel flows well. I'm not a fan of Whitman tho.

ANYWAY. What do you think of the name Samuel? Too... common? or is there a name I could pair it with to spice it up a bit.

I love it. Its not horribly common right now. My favorite middle name for Samuel is Leroy.

Oh wow, yes I'd have to say I do like the name Samuel. But I prefer it to be just Sam. Either way it is very nice common name. ~

Samuel is lovely. It is popular, but with good reason and it's a timeless, classic name that won't become dated. It has a nice history and meaning.

If you want to honour your friend Sam with a more unusual name, you could use Samson or Sampson instead.

Wilson is okay (although it reminds me of the ball from Cast Away!) but I don't like Whitman.
