I am pregnant with my second child due in May but after years of thinking of girls names I suddenly don't like any of them!

I'm looking for something really feminine and I don't want anything unusual. My sons name is Dylan and I'm looking for something similar to that, well known and always fairly popular but never in the top 10.

Some names that I like but can't use cos of family/friends already having them are Lily, Lucy, Rose, Madeleine, Jenna, Jasmine, Rachel, Molly.

Other names that I'm considering but am not sold on (some because they're extremely popular) are Claire, Emily, Charlotte, Ruby, Ella, Sophie, Holly.

I also really like Ellie but I prefer longer names that can be shortened rather than names that sound like nicknames to me, but I don't really like Eleanor. My husband likes Annabelle which I do think is nice but I'm not totally convinced on it either.

Would love to get some suggestions!

Thanks in advance :)

Oh and because we're not finding out the boys names we're pretty set on are Jordan, Max or maybe Toby.

Just to give you an idea of our taste :)

There are a lot of great names that could lead you to Ellie, but you also want something traditional and easy to spell so here are a few options you might like...

Elisa

Eloise

Eliza

Elizabeth

and one a bit more unusual, yet still recognizable...Elsa

Other names you may like..

Rebecca
Lilah

Julia

Cassidy
Matilda

Sara

Stephanie

Chelsea
Melody

Natalie

Elliana or Elise could get you Ellie, both well known and recognizable.

other suggestions:
Chloe
Evelyn (Evie)
Arabella
Genevieve
Miranda
Melinda
Rebecca

Hope this helps a little

How about Elisa, for a first name? Most names that you would get "Ellie" from are themselves a derivative of Elizabeth (which feels like a middle name to me).

If you aren't sold on Annabelle, what about the name Annalise? Has a similar meaning to Ellie names.

I prefer Max out of the boy names you listed. It's not widely used. We have a Timothy Max.
