It's taken me ages, but I've finally decided on my favorite girl name.
Evelina Lorelei
Evelina is a name I've been in love with for a while. I love that it's uncommon but still easy to pronounce (ev-uh-leen-uh), and I love that it offers the nickname Evie. Also, the -lina ending is a nod to my mom, Linda, who I want to honor in some way.
Lorelei is one that I've considered before, but not with Evelina. The Lor- beginning honors a family member who is like a second mother to me, so that's an added bonus. The only thing I'm slightly iffy on is the spelling. My friend's niece spells it Loreli, and Gilmore Girls spells it Lorelai, although I know I like Lorelei best. Which spelling do you prefer?
Another question:
Annaliese Linda has been my go-to girl combo for a long time, and I do still love it. (It also brings a more obvious honoring for my mother without being too close to Evelina). My favorite boy combo right now is William Jack. The names in this combo are notably more common than in the girl combos, but Jack honors several family members and I absolutely love Will.
Could you see William Jack, Evelina Lorelei, and Annaliese Linda as a sibset? I would call them Will, Evie, and Liese or Liesie (prn. lease-ee, similar to Lacey) around the house, though Evelina and Annaliese would likely use their full names at school and such.
