Hi moms, I feel as though I have narrowed down to two names, but am having a hard time choosing between them (and hubby likes one much more than the other)

Lena Theodora
And
Pelagia Christine (we would probably call her Pela), and in Greek the "g" is pronounced like a "y."

Hubby loves pelagia, but I am nervous that it's too out there for US consumption.

Any thoughts??

You could spell it Pelaia, maybe? I'd pronounce it puh-LYE-uh. It's pretty out there, but if you love it, use it!

Lena is VERY useable, IMO.

I have to use Greek names for my future kids too.

I would go with Lena personally, since Pelagia is pretty out there (though its a nice name). I would just worry about the whole mispronunciations thing. My name is Greek, and I come across people calling me completely different names all the time. It sucks.

Some other suggestions:

Elena/Eleni (then Lena could be the nickname)
Eleanor (same as up there. Lena could be the nickname)
Zoe
Eva
Cassandra/Cassia
Iris
Demi
Elissa/Alyssa
Chloe
Daphne
Cleo

But anyways, I would go with Lena Theodora (but Lena Christine sounds even better IMO).
